Smiling as Gareth kissed her knuckles, Calista's eyes slowly fluttered opened as she weakly entwined her fingers in his. Her usually clear blue eyes were now dull and cloudy from the illness that was slowly ravishing her strength.

Calista gave Gareth an apprecitative smile as he helped her sit up before placing the cup to her lips. Wrapping her hand around the cup weakly, Calista slowly began to drink the life-refreshing liquid. As the water slid down her throat, its coolness numbed her parched throat, refreshing her. Yet at the same time, the liquid triggered a coughing-reflex and she started to choke.

Calista covered her mouth and turned her face away as she continued to cough. After a few minutes, her cough finally started to abate.
