					| I haven't noticed that, but I would have loved to see some dwarf women, maybe they where there (I mean the movie) but because of their beards ... )) I think Tolkien could have wrote more about them, I don't imagine them as house wifes, maybe house warriors _________________

					| It had never occured to me before now, but yah. There isn't a single female character. It doesn't bother me all that much, Tolkien was never one for female characters, and his male characters are really good. _________________

					| Actually there is a female character, Goldberry the companion of Tom Bombadil, not a very important one but one of the more detalied female character, at least in the books And I can say that the ideea of the female dwarf came to me a fwe years ago, wen I started to write a story based on LOTR, all I can say she was a teen ager, obviously with beard _________________

I think it was just Tolkien's style that made it that way. i know when I write stories, most of my characters are female._________________

					| Yah, but it doesn't bother me. I don't really mind. I'd never really thought about it until now. _________________

					| I really don't know where my head was...JRRT paid hes dues in the Silmarillion, probably he thought that he wrote about to many women in that book so he concentrated more on men Or maybe it was the other way around? )_________________

Never The Hobbit, and as I should be right in saying this is a discussion for the lack of Female characters in The Hobbit.....then Goldberry doesn't exactly count. Right?

					| You are right, I have combined a little bite the Hobbit with LOTR, it's been some years since I read them, my bad Maibe because LOTR it was thought as a sequel to The Hobbit, and the firs part is more like that. _________________
