Turwethiel's vision was slowly beginning to clear, but not much. Yet she could see well enough now to notice the stranger advancing toward her. "What? Stop please!" He didn't. Someone help me!, she thought to herself. Then she screamed at the top of her lungs, shrill and piercing.

The stranger continued on toward Turwethiel, drawing his sword, and Turwethiel whimpered, "No! Please don't hurt me!" The stranger placed his blade across Turwethiel's neck. Turwethiel was desperate. "I'll do anything!" The stranger spoke for the first time. "Anything, you say?" His voice was raspy, and made Turwethiel tremble, but she nodded.

The stranger whirled around, startled, and whipped his sword away from Tûrwethiel's neck but only to point it at Eru and Aralas. "Who am I? You are the intruders. I believe I should ask you that," he rasped. Then he slowly began to pull back his hood...
