She looked away, "Not...too bad. It's still cold and I think the blood sort of..froze while it tried to heal but...I don't know if it is serious ir not," she said, placing a hand over the wound. She was worried that it might get infected or get frostbite if it didn't thaw out soon. The gash was deeper than she had imagined and it was deep. It would definitely scar and take some time to fully heal, especially after their adventure.

Micha looked about for a pack of any kind. "Do we have any medical suplies? We better take care of it best we can before it gets any worse."

He struggled up to his feet and headed towards the one pack that was in sight.

Sygnet nodded. She hadn't been able to redress the wound since they had left from Rivendell several days previously and the bandage was covered in grim, soot and dirt.

Micha grabbed the pack, and though there was not everything in it that should be used to dress a wound there was enough to make do with.

He took it over to Sygnet and sat down beside her wearily. "I think we can make these supplies work. Once we get back to Rivendel we can dress it properly." He looked around noticing that Valadhiel was still no where in sight. Previously he had assumed she was out scouting or hunting. "Where is your friend?" He asked as he pulled the supplies out of the bag.

Sygnet frowned, "I have no idea," she said quietly, "She didn't take Atla so, it is possible that she went into Rivendell," she smiled slightly at the sleeping dragon.

"Well," Micha said with a shrug. "I am sure she will be back soon. Lets get that shoulder taken care of."

Sygnet rolled up her sleeve to the wound and began unraveling the bandage over her shoulder. The wound was deep and as she unraveled it, blood began dripping down her arm. She sighed, "The bleeding looks fresh. I think it was the freezing," she said quietly.

Micha shook his head. "That's not good... after all this time it shouldn't still be bleeding."

He grabbed the new bandages and held them at the ready, helping her in what ways he could.

"When we get to Rivendel we need to get you to the healer as soon as we can."

Sygnet nodded, "Just do what you can," she said in a hushed tone, wiping away the stream of blood and looking up at him. She knew how concerned he was and didn't want him to be that way.

Jax dabbed the blood gently, trying not to aggravate the wound. He used a little water from the canteen to wash the area clean and then rummaged through the few supplies. There was no ointment or anything to put on it but he happened to spot a few herbs growing around.

"I'll be right back," he told her. He handed her the cloth and moved slowly over towards some plants. He picked just a few leaves and crushed them up in his hands on the way back.

"These won't keep it from getting infected but they may help slow the bleeding."

He gently dabbed the stuff on her wound and began wrapping it with the little bandages they had left.

Sygnet gritted her teeth when he put the herbs on it and she was grateful when it was over. She smiled when he finished though, "Thank you," she said, taking his hand with her good hand.

Micha paused from his hurried mind and smiled back as she took his hand. He squeezed it gently and looked into her eyes. He could see the illness seeping in he hopped Valadhiel would return soon so they could be on their way.

He wasn't getting any stronger either... in fact he could feel his body weakening the longer he pushed himself onward.

"We need to get you back to Rivendel..." he said softly, not letting go of her hand. He tried to see if her hands were getting cool.

Sygnet tried to smile at him and she reached up to his cheek, eyebrows creased, "You are tired, my love," she said quietly, then smiled, "You need rest. You have had a long time," she moved to a tree to lean against and sighed gently.

Micha gave a weary look. Half for her statement bring his realization back to his current condition and the other half for her own condition. He moved over beside her and leaned against the tree, his head rest along side hers.

He sat in silence for a moment. " after this is all over... Lets go on a journey that isnt full of life threatening dangers." He said these words half joking but he could think of a lot of places he would love to visit with Sygnet.

Micha sighes and closed his eyes, still holding her hand. "I am glad you are here with me," he said softly, almost as if he were falling asleep. "Thank you... Thank you for caring about me."

Sygnet smiled at him, waiting until he fell asleep before sleeping herself. She squeezed his hand gently and nodded off, her head resting on the tree.

Valadhiel was in Rivendell, searching for supplies they might need. She knew they probably wouldn't be able to move for several days. Their camp was a good hour from the valley and it would be sometime before she was back. She hadn't been to Rivendell in several hundred years and found it difficult to locate the stuff they needed. Bandages, medicine, and food were among what she had found before taking the long walk up and out of the valley. Dusk was beginning to fall when she arrived at the camp.

As dusk approached Micha continued sleeping. His body needed the rest and he slept as soundly as if he were in a feather bed.

Into the night he began having dreams, however. Dreams of the elder elves... Disturbing dreams, almost as if it were a glimps of their plan.

Micha stires but dis not wake. His body was too tires and weary to give in to even these dreams that tempted to rouse him from his sleep.
