Micha helped her to the entrance of the tunnels. Across the flat top of the large rock they slipped through the crevice. There was very little light but enough that Micha could see enough to lead them. He kept Sygnet's left hand in his left hand, his other hand around her shoulders. "Your not doing well, are you?" he finally asked once they were inside.

Sygnet leaned into him and took a deep breath, "No, I am not," she admitted. They needed to change her bandage. It should have happened earlier but the orcs were a big distraction, "Micha, we need to change my bandage," she looked up at him.

He nodded and set her down gently in a comfortable spot. "Just take it easy and rest. I'll get the fresh bandages." He rummaged through the packs, trying not to show his eagerness. He was worried about her... for an elf that had been treated by elves... she should have healed by now. There again was one more reason they needed to get to Lorien.

He took the bandages and moved over to Sygnet's side once more. He was no professional but he had treated his fair share of wounds through his travels.

Sygnet knew a good deal about healing and she tried to not show how much it hurt, "Can you do it, or shall I?" she asked him, carefully unwrapping the old bandage underneath. Some blood had soaked through it as she peeled it off. The gashes were slightly Inflamed and a small green tint Over the whole area. She couldn't see much of it and allowed Micha to assess the damage, "It is probably nothing more than stress that's keeping it this long. After the orcs and that freezing spell, it probably worsened the wound beyond what the Rivendell elves could do," she attempted to explain the cause of the prolonged injury.

"I can do it, you rest." Micha insisted. He gently cleaned the wound with a damp cloth, then sterilized it with a small touch of alcohol. "This will sting...I'm sorry," he said before applying the alcohol.

He sighed, looking at the wound. "I know... you've been under a lot of stress. I'm sorry. I just figured it would be better by now. Once we get to Lorien we need to stay there until it's one hundred percent healed... no more travels for a while."

I gingerly re-applied the fresh bandages after properly tending to the wound. It didn't seem like it hurt her that much but he knew she was probably trying to be strong. She was a strong woman but he still worried about her after such a long time and the injury not healing.

Sygnet groaned in pain and winced as he cleaned it, "I could use a rest for sure," she took a deep breath, "Does it look bad?" she asked him quietly.

She gripped the hem of her shirt so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Sygnet took in several shakey breaths and winced with each one.

"It looks worse than it should..." Micha admited. "We just need to get you to Lorien."

He finished up dressing the wound and winced with Sygnet, wishing her better already and that she didn't have such pain. "I'm sorry..." He appologized. He knew it hurt but the wound needed cleaned. "That should do it for now. Get some rest and when you are ready we will continue on. For now I'll fix you a little something to eat if you like."

Sygnet smiled at him, "A few bits of bread will be fine," she took his hand in hers and squeezed it softly. It was cooler up in the mountains. She didn't feel cold but she could tell it was, "Are you warm enough, Micha?" she asked him quietly.

She hated being the injured one but one day, she would care for him, as she was sure this wouldn't be the last of their injuries. In a way, it was a blessing. If it weren't for this bear, she wouldn't have joined Micha. She smiled to herself, ever so slightly.

Micha nodded and quickly grabbed her some bread. "Here you are." He looked at her fondly as she took his handand took a seat beside her, holding her hand in his. "I'm fine. Don't you worry about me," he answered. "I've dealt with cold before. You rest." He leaned over and kissed her gently on the forehead and settled in to get a bit of reat himself. Not sleep mind you... Rest.

Sygnet munched on the bread while he situated himself. She gently closed her eyes as he kissed her and smiled softly. When he lay down beside her, she scooted closer to him so she was touching him. She stayed awake and alert, one hand on her sword, the other rested on his shoulder. She gently rubbed her thumb over his skin, trying to relax him, if only a little bit.

Micha let out a deep breath as Sygnet scooted in and gently caressed his skin. They had been through so much together and yet a peaceful moment like this was hard to find in his memory... and even this moment wasn't entirely peaceful. He leaned his head over, gently touching Sygnet's head.

"I'm tired..." Micha said softly. His voice seemed to trail off into memory and thought. The last few syllables of his sentence barely audible.

Sygnet smiled at him and held him closer. "Sleep, my love" she whispered and then began to sing. It was a gentle and soft tune and the elvish words flowed as effortless as water. She would stay awake all night while he slept.

Micha sat silently while Sygnet sang and another deep breath left him once she finished her song. It was a beautiful song but Micha shook his head softly.

"I'm tired of running..." he re-stated. "I'm tired of fighting..."

Sygnet halted her words and in a low, deep, lulling voice, she said, "You don't have to stop fighting or running. You just take a break to breathe. Now, breathe, and sleep," she commanded but her voice wasn't stern. It was gentle and kind.

Micha nodded slightly, his head still leaning on her. He lifted a hand and placed it on her leg beside him as his head got heavy and he, against his better judgement slipped off to sleep with the slurred words, "I love you," left on his lips to his dear companion.

His dreams, however, gave him wrestles rest. Half orc brutes constantly chased him in his head.

Sygnet smiled again and brought his head to her chest, where she stroked his head gently, "I love you too," she whispered to him and then resumed her singing quietly. She gently pushed her fingers through his hair, attempting to relax him.
