Death Dreams by William Katz. Bought the book second hand for basically nothing and realized about 15 pages in that I saw a movie based on it as a kid and while I know the major plot twist I LOVE IT! I searched for the movie for years since we only had it taped on VHS meaning it's long gone and it's easily been 20 years and I couldn't remember the name of the movie though I wanted to rewatch it. Now, I can, because I know the name of it and I have found it on youtube and as soon as I'm done with the book I shall watch it.

The Animals of Farthing Wood by Colin Dann. Not just the first book, but the whole series. I loved the cartoons, when I was a kid, it is kinda cool to read the books they were based off of. Worth the read.

Just finished '1984' by George Orwell, and an starting on Ray Bradbury's 'Fahrenheit 451'. Both seem rather pertinent in this day and age.

Evil.Shieldmaiden wrote: The Assassin's Blade Trilogy by Justin DePaoli This came up on one of my feeds on one of those "If you like The Black Company, you may like ..." side ads when I was on the Black Company site on Runboard. I'm curious about it, and the reviews on Goodreads seem to point toward the Glen Cook style of writing. I'd be curious what your review is of this.
Also, since I was on Goodreads for the first time in ages, I was reminded about Steve Erikson's Malazan Books of the Fallen. I have read Gardens of the Moon, and I have the 2nd book, Deadhouse Gates but didn't read into it much... maybe a chapter or two. It wasn't that it was not interesting, but reading time took a hit when it was replaced by story writing time. So I found my dusty paperback of Gardens of the Moon while cleaning out the office, and saw the 5 star reviews on Goodreads by several people who had rated it 2 or three, but re-read it. That tells me that a re-read of this from the beginning is in order. So I'm presently reading 'Gardens of the Moon' by Steven Erikson, and will follow it up with Deadhouse Gates. I'll then go and rate it and write a review of my own.

I've actually been reading through some of my old star wars fanfiction. Makes me miss the days where I had time to sit down and write them!
