Tahlavain's eyes narrowed. His attitude was very unlike the manner of most elves, and she didn't like it. Her prey/predator instincts told her to speak and act wisely. Choosing a tree, she leaned against it, her hand seeming to be permanently resting on the hilt of Corasar. "And how is it you come here?" She asked quietly, looking at him, her icy pale blue eyes unblinking.
(Ok, see you then! I'll be around lol)

She pulled down her hood unconsciously, and busied herself with the map infront of her; quill in hand, making odd markings here and there. Then, feeling the momentary gaze of another, she looked up. An Elf in a blue dress had clasped the hilt of her sword apon spotting her, but quickly averted her attention to a male Elf who was sitting on a bench. She could barely see him however, for he was halfly hidden behind a wall that was decorated in wild vines.
Arching a brow, she smirked inwardly. Alassea was not dressed in the usuall attire of a female Elf. No frilly sheer dress or glittering mantle on her brow, nor the intricate braids that would adorn her soft features. Instead she was clad in mostly black, her cloak hiding most of her clothes. A traveller. Her long ebony hair was tucked under her cloak, hiding the true extent of it's length; small loose curls forming around her jaw-line.
Sighing, she dropped the quill on the table, and folded her arms, leaning back against the stone wall that was behind her.

[ Ah! x_X Don't take it like that! I didn't mean frilly as in girly girly, I meant frilly as in delicate and pretty. I wasn't even directing it towards you. I'm sorry. ): ]

"Do you have any questions for me that aren't so personal?" Niell asked in a bored sounding voice. He stood up, "because if you don't there's no need for me to stay."

"I apologize, I did not mean to pry." Tahlavain took her hand off her sword hilt. "I can leave you alone if you wish... unless there is anything I can do for you, seeing as how this is your first time here," she added with a somewhat forced smile.

She didn't like his attitude, and she liked the look in his eyes even less. But she had to do her best to be polite, after all, it was Rivendell, and Rivendell had never encountered problems, so why should she worry... but her hand rested on her sword hilt again, a habit, sometimes good and at others bad.

Niell leaned against a tree, "there is something that I want." He glanced at the waterfall again as a scowl came to his face, "but no one can give me that." His hand strayed to his sword hilt and his knuckles turned white as he gripped it, never taking his gaze from the waterfall.

Tahlavain looked at him, her eyes no longer narrowed skeptically. "Well... is there perhaps something that I can do for you?..."

She wondered why the waterfall held his attention so greatly...

"Only if you're willing to kill someone," he said darkly.

"It depends on who that someone is," she said in a dangerously calm voice. Tahlavain's eyes now seemed cold. "I've killed before, but I choose wisely who I kill..."

Niell didn't reply, instead he tore his gaze from the waterfall and walked towards the archway that led out of the courtyard. "If you'll excuse me, I have an old friend that I need to meet with."

Tahlavain nodded and watched him walk away. She took her leave of the courtyard to change into more workable clothes. After all, the swordsmenship tournament, open to all, was today, and there was no way she would miss that.

(elves have tournaments... right? lol) perhaps the stranger is here for the tournament, Tahlavain thought to herself as she meandered the grounds, now dressed in her simple hunting attire, consisting of dark leather pants, nearly knee high light leather boots, a loose grey tunic and a leather vest. She wore her armgaurds as well, and as always, Corasar was belted to her side. She rested her hand on the hilt of the sword. Almost as a rule, her dark travel cloak was clasped about her shoulders.
