"Now that I don't doubt," Niell nudged one of the logs with the toe of his boot. The top logs fell aside to reveal the bright embers beneath. "Too bad they burned all the good timber." He rested his head on his hand and winced when his fingers brushed the gash above his eye. All the blood was dried now but it still smarted occasionally.

Haldir softly fell asleep, her armor and weapons far from her, near the fire.

Silmarwen nodded, "they make a waste of things... it seems they put all their fuel in at once." She noticed him wince and tilted her head slightly, "does the gash hurt? That orc gave you a pretty bad blow... sorry I just sat by and watched, but you are the enemy after all... I have something that might help take the pain away, if you wish me to help," she finished with a slight smile as she pushed back her hood.

"Thanks but it's alright," he said dropping his hand quickly. He looked at the remnants of the fire again. "I think this campsite is a loss." He stood up, "If you truly intend to come with me, I'm moving on."

She nodded her head and stood, sheathing her sword. "I certainly do intend to follow... the others are preoccupied with the Dundeling's force..." (Speaking of which... where is it? They're supposed to be attacking and giving everyone things to do! lol)

Haldir got up, wincing as she did so. "Silm, I'm coming with you and Niell."

Niell grinned, he turned to the east and began walking. The orc force had gone to the north and he hoped to avoid them. They had a good six miles of plain to cover before they reached the woods.

Suddenly, her side hurt to the point at which she could not walk. "Ah...", she softly cried out, and dropped to the ground. "I'll catch up..."

Silmarwen turned around and knelt by Haldir, "Haldir... you shouldn't have even taken a step in your condition, you need healing." She placed her hand on her friend's forehead and whispered in a strange tongue, healing Haldir and giving her a touch of strength. She was grateful she was there to help her friend, but she wanted to escape her reponsibilities, she wanted to go it alone a while, or with someone she knew nothing of. She needed the challenge and the chance to get away from it all. It had been weighing her down for so long.

Niell stopped and turned around. He saw that Silmarwen seemed a bit frustrated but the appearance of the new elf. It made him feel slightly uncomfortable. He turned back to the east and continued walking, not wanting to get involved in anything.

Silmarwen watched as Niell continued walking and she looked at Haldir, then back at him. She sighed and bowed her head, "it's alright Haldir... if I've survived this long, I can survive this... I appriciate your worry, Haldir, but it is needless... " she was on the verge of freaking out with frustration.
