*Without turning, Sen replied.*
Greetings to you too, my lady. I have an urgent message and a warning to deliver, and a promise to keep to an old friend, which is why I travel at such haste. I have many places to go before I rest, yet I must have water to continue. What prompts you to hide from me, if, as you say, this is such a casual road?

Tahlavain hesitated then finally replied, "There are rumors of a shadow, and of servents of this shadow have already said to have brought trouble upon a few. That is why I stood to the side. I am on a... trip... but one cannot be too careful when such rumors go around." She didn't bother to mention the cloaked stranger who came upon her the night before.

Deawen watched all the was going on with a slight smile. Deawen smiled more brightly now then she vanished and reappered right next to Sen.
"this is a casual road? then why do travlers seem to be in great haste to bear a message?" Deawen said she wasn't smiling anymore her face was more grave,"you have seen him too again?" she said telepathicly

Tahlavain cleared her throat, "I must warn you I can read minds at times.... so just inform me if you wish to speak privately, please. But now since I've heard it... who is it you have seen?" She was very much interested now.

Tahlavain's gaze was set on Deawen, "I have no immediate control of what I hear. I can block it if I want to, but I cannot always prevent what I hear unless I know I am going to hear it. I did not intend to intrude..."

Darrell had chosen to take the route across country. A rumour of evil had been spreading slowly, but now haste took the place of caution. As he approached the road he saw three people standing by a stream. Not wishing to be seen he crept up slowly not knowing whether they where friendly.

Tahlavain had her back to Darrell as he approached. Her fingers twitched upon her sword hilt and she turned her head slightly. "May I help you sir, or is there no reason you are attempting to creep up on us?" She questioned as she turned around half way, and turned her head to look at him.

Darrell stood up slowly and walked on to the path. I'm sorry, I was not sure if you were friendly. Even after the War there are still evils that wander the land. I have heard the rumour of more evil stirring"

*Sen nodded, and stood.*
Indeed it is. Yet there are some places where the message still needs to be spread, and it is to these I ride, Deawen.

Tahlavain nodded to the man who had just come. "Indeed, the rumor seems true as well from what I have seen... "
Tahlavain looked at the other two, "In which direction do you take the message? Perhaps it runs along my own path. If so, I shall acompany you if you would not mind."

"I would also welcome some company. If we are all going the same way I should like to travel with you if I may. This evil that is unseen appears to have been felt by many"

(Ok, let's get things started here! lol)
"As for me, I carry no message, but I am on a quest," Tahlavain continued. Strangely she trusted them, though she did not know why. Suddenly the sound of galloping hooves was heard on the road. Too crowded for one day... " she muttered as she gripped the hilt of Corasar.
Down the road a rider cloaked in green and riding a bay was seen. The steed's hide was flecked with sweat as it hastened down the path as though in fear, its rider seeming to be doubled over in the saddle.
As the rider approached, Tahlavain halted the frightened horse and held its bridle. "Aye! The man is wounded," she cried out. Just at that moment, the sound of a few more galloping steeds was heard. The man gasped the words, "run! There are shadows on the road, and they ride fast this way"

(ooooo. nice work Silm )
On hearing what the man said Darrell swiftly unshouldered his bow and nocked one of his dark green fletched arrows to the bowstring staring intently down the path. "do we stay and fight or do we hide and see what this shadow is" he asked.
