Anyone seen Law & Order? or SVU? even CI?
I love those shows. and there are all part of the Law & order series.

I like the original Law & Order. My faves were Lenny and Briscoe. Poor Jerry Orbach!  _________________

Yay for Law and Order! You know, it's funny because I was just thinking of starting a Law and Order thread!
I used like the original Law and Order, but ever since Jerry Orbach passed away, it just wasn't good anymore. I sometimes watch SVU, but Elliot (or whatever the guy's name is) is just a little too violent.  But Criminal Intent is my favourite! Sid can vouch for that - I'm always watching it on USA. Yay for Detective Bobby Goren! I love MONK, so I think that's why I like CI so much more - Goren reminds me of Monk (before he completely lost it). And Vincent D'Onofrio just freaking rocks! _________________ "So what? So plenty!"

Yeah, Goren is just so - well, unique. Ha ha ha. I basically grew up on Law and Order (the original). Because my mom's a lawyer, and she's obsessed. So that's why I still kind of like the original - but I'm definately a late comer to the new ones.
And I agree with you about the new team on CI. They did it because Vincent D'Onofrio was hospitalized from exhaustion last year I believe. Poor guy. Chris Noth is okay, but I like the Goren and Eames team. Yay for new episode!

I don't remeber all the lines Goren said, but some quite funny.
I even have the USA commercial for CI memorized.

All of Goren's quotes are amazing. They're hysterical. I write some of them down but yeah...

I think it's on the original one - but one of the guys is in RENT. He was in the original on Broadway and is in the movie! Yay! I remember reading something or hearing something, that if you're on Broadway you'll probably end up in Law and Order. Which is so funny, because last year I believe - my Drama teacher was freaking out about one of her students who had graduated the previous year and he was going to be on Law and Order! It was so cool! She taped it, and brought it in the next day and we were all cheering when he came on. Ha ha ha! Crazy hicks from Montana, eh?

I love Robert Goren, but his do you know his middle name?

Robert Goren's middle name? I wouldn't have a clue.
I think that's partly why I was so drawn to CI - was the way he acts and carries himself. He's a lot like Monk (if you've ever seen that) in all the kind of weird things he does. Kind of like ticks, but not. I mean, I was a hardcore Monk fan before I started watching CI (well, I still am) but those kind of people fascinate me - so that really drew me in.
But the first epsiode I ever saw of CI was the one with the really shy guy who would like end up murdering these women because he wanted them to stay. I can't remember the episode name - but the part that got me was when Goren got really emotional about him NOT being put on death row. It was really powerful - and that basically made me a fan right there. Yay! _________________ "So what? So plenty!"

I saw that episode, it was one very few times you see Goren emotional.
In some of the eps they had parts where he talked about his life, and sometimes I try mimick his hand movements.
Do you remember the ep where Goren gets so mad about how his mother had to be druged, because a guy had asked her a lot questions.
Or where Goren and a lady went head to head of out psyche the psycho.

Well, I remember the one where the two teams were put together (a few weeks ago) and the judge had Goren's mom drugged. (Is that the one you were talking about?) That was crazy, he just like freaked out.

Oh my god. Last night's episode was intense. Crazy, crazy people. I'm glad I didn't go into Psychology as my major. I might just end up like that lady. Ha ha ha. It was really good. That's all I have to say.
But this past weekend, I happened to catch an episode with the new team on USA - SO not as good. I mean, it just isn't CI material. Chris Noth is good in the original. But that's it. And I think they tried to make it somewhat the same with the girl - who talks to herself...really strange.
