(Haha, I lived up north before moving south... below zero kind of cold I didn't really care for, but it's the twenty degrees I miss, the kind where you see your breath and the frosty morning with no leaves on any trees makes it look like everything is in a blue color tone...)

"I will also turn in or the night. Wake me for my watch, or if you need me at any point" He unbuckled his belt with his arrows and dagger in and laid his bow along side himself. He left his sword lose in its sheath, its hilt close to his hand should it be required during the night.

Deawen made pile of leaves grabbed her blanket made a nest in the leaves then snuggled in the blanket she was set apart from the rest under a tree she peered out from under her hood suddenly a black dog came up licked her face and pushed it's way under the blanket. Deawen smiled and covered the dog up then the two were lost in play.

"You cannot have it... it's not to be wielded by another..." Tahlavain mumbled then awoke with a start, sitting upright with her sword held ready. Taking in a deep breath, she lowered her sword and sat back against a tree, pulling her cloak close about her and staring into the night.

*Sen breathed deeply in the night air, scenting it slightly. No threat was near, not that he could sense or smell or see. Yet he did not need rest, so he stayed up, and watchful.*

Tahlavain got to her feet, unable to sleep and feeling restless. She went a distance from those who were resting and paced silently with her hand on her hilt, meanwhile glancing into the darkness ever so often.

Tahlavain had wandered off some distance from the others, but wasn't paying attention as she paced, preoccupied by her thoughts.
Tahlavain's fingers tingled when she touched her sword hilt, and she stopped in mid pace, puzzled. It took her a while to realize she had felt it before, when the Maieans had come down the road. She backed up, glancing around her and gasped as she bumped into something, something softer than a tree yet harder than a bush.
She turned just in time to come in contact with a hard blow to the side of her head. Stumbling back, she managed to unsheath her sword, the steel of which making the familiar grating sound of the weapon being drawn.

Arenel jumped forward bounding across the camp she vanished into the darkness Deawen raced after her with no sound. Deawen had no idea what she was looking for nor why Arenel started a bark but it was silenced Deawen drew her sword it appeared as a flash of silver Deawen did not like this at all she could not see if anything was around her. she had to rely on her instincts she heard movment she turned in each direction but could see nothing.

Tahlavain heard the growl of what she knew must have been Deawen's dog. She turned in the darkness, but her vision was half blinded by the blow. Unable to see clearly, she froze, relying on her hearing, and could hear nothing but the patter of the dog's paws.
Suddenly someone grabbed her from behind, and she thrust her sword behind her, and whatever it was made a sharp intake of breath and let go of her. Turning around, Tahlavain raised her sword to strike a second blow, but was met instead with the steel of another blade blocking hers. Her vision cleared and she could see it was a Maiean. As she fought, she purposfuly led the Death Rider towards the camp, until she came into the center of it. The Maiean's focus was on her, so much so that he didn't realize where she had led him. Corasar gleemed in the dark night, though no light source was available for the blade to gather. With a skillful play of her blade, Tahlavain disarmed the Maiean, and she held the point it his neck, but she wanted him alive, so she waited for the others. Suddenly she was thrown back by an arrow through her shoulder, and her senses told her there was another Maiean present.
The archer Maiean was in the shadows, quite near Deawen, though he did not know it. In the darkness, Deawen's hearing would have been hightened, so she couldn't have missed the sound of an arrow being nocked and released from an area quite near her.

Darrell was woken by the commotion. He immediately sensed the danger he had felt when the maiean had attacked them on the road. They're backhe thought to him selfI knew they would be but I didn't expect them so soon. He stood up quickly, drawing his sword I won't be better this timehe thought. Taking the situation at a glance he went straight or the maiean fighting Tahlavain. He charged his sword point low, into the fray.
