She snorted, following Alassea up the stairs sullenly. "Not that it was much of a life to begin with," She pointed out crossly.
But considering that Alassea had not simply completely disowned the idea of having her on board, she realized how much she had missed the open air, and quickly made her way after Alassea onto the deck.

Lairiel tightened the strip of silk that bound her hair behind her head. She paced along the beach, glancing up every few seconds to look for a ship. Still nothing. No sign of Alassea's ship.

It was ten years ago when they first met in Mirkwood. She was 12 at the time. It would be interesting to see Alassea after all these years.

I wonder if we'll even recognize each other... She sighed softly as her gaze swept over the Sea. What was that? Lairiel rushed to the end of a nearby dock. Nothing was there. She must have been seeing things. Disappointed, she sat down at the end of the dock and dangled her feet above the water. There was nothing to worry about. Alassea was fine. Still, the thoughts of Alassea caught in a storm or lost at sea kept coming back...

Deawens ship sailed smoothly over the calm waters the wind had stopped and they now relied on the power of Ores. the sun was beaming down on her she was used to the cooler climate of gondor. and the north. a slave near by had left to fetch a fan to shade her with but Deawen didn't seem to notice. Deawen peered out into the horizoin and there she saw land her heart leaped she was closer to home now.

[ Keep in mind, I'm not ignoring any of you -Jasmine, Deawen, and Gandalf the um.. Yellow. o_O Nice name, by the way, Gandalf. It's just it takes a while for one to cross a sea, so she'll be on the water for a couple more days before she reaches the forest; and she'll soon spot the other boat and ship if they happen to come closer in view. (: Keep posting though, thanks! ]

" From what I gather, your life seemed full of adventure, Enyalie." She retorted curtly, overhearing her words. She was facing the right side of the ship, back reclined against the mast, fingering the bottle idly. Her dark eyes rested on Enyalie as she stepped on deck, but they were soft. Smiling slightly, she said in a light voice, " It's good to see you."

She did not give Enyalie time enough to reply, instead she went on speaking, gazing forwards out across the sea. " I suppose this means you'll be meeting my brother--the one I never told you about." With that she seemed slightly ashamed, bowing her head a bit.

Enyalie arched an eyebrow. "Brother...?" She frowned, trying to recall any whisp of a memory, but it was useless. Tilting her head slightly, she gazed thoughtfully at Alassea. "So that is where we're going? To seek this long-lost brother you claim to have?"
She shook her head and looked out across the sea. "I never understood you before, and I don't expect to now..."

Right. History. Okay. Here we go:

Father-Urúvion

Mother-Vanya

Siblings- an older brother, Aranethon

Age- 22

Race- Noldorin

Appearance- She is 5'8" and fair skinned with dark blue eyes that are always darting around, scanning for danger. She has long black hair that reaches to her lower back. Her hair is usually pulled back and tied with a strip of silk, keeping most of it out of her eyes except for the errant wisps of shorter hair that rest on her forehead. She usually wears black pants with a dark tunic, but sometimes she wears dark dresses.

History- Lairiel was born in Rivendell and grew up there. She loved nature, and also loved getting into trouble. She had two older brothers, Arthonnen, who would have been 34, and Aranethon, who was 29. Her brothers loved her very much and always kept an eye on her.

When she was 20, her oldest brother, Arthonnen, took her to Lothlorien where they wandered in the forests and talked. He revealed to her his secrets on fighting and constantly reminded her to never give up. He was always telling her how much he loved her. During one of their walks, they were ambushed by a band of Orcs. Arthonnen fought valiantly, protecting her and encouraging her as she fought alongside him.

Horrified, Lairiel watched as Arthonnen staggered backwards, a cruel Orc arrow piercing his left shoulder. He gasped but continued fighting. After three more arrows hit him, Arthonnen fell to the ground, struggling to breathe. The Orcs were all slain. With his last breath, Arthonnen reminded her how much he loved her and never to give up. Weeping, she took his bow and quiver as a remembrance of him, and she took the silver ring she had given to him when she was seven. She leaned over him and kissed his brow, her tears falling upon his face and into his dark hair.

Grief nearly overwhelmed her and she fled, leaving the painful memories behind. She found herself in Mirkwood where she lived quietly.

A year and a half later, she returned to Rivendell. She refuses to talk with anyone about what happened on that horrible day, shoving away the memories. Her family received her back with love and rarely brought up the subject. At night, she still dreams of her beloved brother who saved her that day...

[ Excellent history, Jasmine; bravo. (: ]

" Yes, that's where I was going..I wasn't expecting a tag-along." She replied deviantly, knowing it might make Enyalie a tad bit angry. She sighed however, thinking of the journey ahead. If her father ever found out about Enyalie..she'd be dead. It was the soul reason why she left so quickly from Rivendell those many years ago. Looking back brought a smile to her face nonetheless.

After a few moments of musing, she blinked, suddenly awakening from her reverie. Her brows furrowed with slight confusion as she peered in the distance. It was now mid-morning, and the mist had lifted incredibly, allowing her to see farther away.

" It can't be.."

She tugged a small telescope from a black satin sash that was tied around her hips, and extended it forth, so that she could see. Looking through this handy device, her jaw dropped slightly. A small speck of a ship drifted behind the waves in the far distance, a good thirty miles away, and ten miles ahead of her.

" I do believe this day is about to get more interesting, my friend."

the slave returned with a fan Deawen then noticed. Deawen sighed as she leaned against the railing of her great ship this was her greatest travle since she was little when she was taken from her home to serve Sauron. Deawen loathed every day in that dark place. more than anything she wasnted to to return home in the light. return to the cool marble and stone walls and corridors that allowed a warm breeze to wash over the stone. gauz and sheer would billiow in the breeze. warm sunlight in patches like soft rose petals. this was her only memory of her home and she looked forward to it.

"Not much of a tag-along, apparently," Enyalie retorted.
She watched curiously as Alassea got out her glass and arched an eyebrow. "Not like it wasn't interesting enough," she said, rolling her eyes. She glanced over at the mast where she had leaned her bow, unstrung as of yet. She wondered whether now would be a good time to do so.

Alassea tossed an icy glare at Enyalie, looking away from her telescope.

" Watch your tongue. It's luck from you and mercy from me you're still on this ship."

She gazed back through her telescope once again, then murmered something softly, sticking the device back under her sash. Striding away, she walked to the center of the ship and picked up the compass she had neglected earlier, opening it. Still muttering incoherent words and calculations, she seemed to pace up and down the deck, unconsciously aware of everything else, absorbed in her own thoughts.

Lairiel slid off the brown stallion's back and watched it trot into the stable. She turned and walked away. The wind blew against her back and tugged some of her hair from the ribbon that held it back. She untied the ribbon and let her hair blow in the wind.

She half skipped, half ran down the hillside and slowed when she saw an Elf sitting near a tree at the bottom of the hill. She gazed at him and tipped her head to the side. Had she seen him somewhere before? He looked vauely familiar...

He glanced up at her and she started walking again, averting her gaze. He cleared his throat and shifted his attention back to the book he was reading.

Lairiel turned her head and studied him one last time. Hmmm... She turned away and walked quickly to the Sea of Rhûn.

She stiffly crossed her arms to control herself. If she didn't, she knew she would just slap Alassea where she stood. Under the circumstances, her threat was valid; Enyalie didn't think she was willing to test it just now. Instead, she glared resentfully at the water lapping harshly at the sides of the ship, at the wind playing in the sail.
They were free...

Minutes had passed, until it seemed like an hour. The sun was almost directly above them, and the weather had improved greatly. Wind blasted into the sails, pushing the small ship speedily through the blue waters. At the rate they were going, Alassea thought they might have luck enough to get there by the next morning. Her mind was unsettled however, as she thought of the ship she had seen earlier. It was now out of sight.

Frowning, she sat in a wooden chair, cocking it back against the wall of the captain's cabin, her eyes resting ahead of her into the great blue. After a while, she looked over at Enyalie, who did not seem entirely happy.

" I was curious.. What do you plan to do in the forest? You'll have no home and no ship; unless you plan to stay with my brother--if he lets you. And even then, you can not stay with him forever. Do you have any plans at all?"

[ I'll let you rp as him for now, but when we get there I'd like to do it. (: ]
