Silmarwen bit her lower lip and hesitated. She unclasped her cloak and pulled her vest off then pulled the side of her tunic up to show the slice, wincing as the blood soaked cloth clung to her wound.

Niell grimaced when he saw the cut. The blood around the wound was dark, much darker than it should have been. Black tendrils were coming off of it, adding to the grotesque look. He let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. "I can't do anything for this," he said quietly. "I can get you an antidote but I'm not sure if I could get it back in time. Not from where it's found."

Silmarwen pulled the tunic back down with a wince and her face was grim as she pulled her vest and cloak back on. "Where is it found?..." she spoke quietly, not trusting her voice to stay steady.

"Mordor," Niell said in a dark tone. "We keep antidote around, we thought it would be useful if the nazgul ever turned on us."

Silmarwen's face would have paled more if it had any tone left to pale. "I... should have guessed... " She paused as her gaze drifted towards the ground. "If... If I can make it to the border of Mordor... could I trust you?..." She feared what the poison could do to her, but she feared the dungeons of Mordor more.

Niell's brow furrowed, "I'm not sure I know what you mean. But if you can get to Mordor, I can get you the antidote."

Silmarwen nodded her head, "how far would you say it is from where we are now?... " her sense of direction was slightly hazed, and she couldn't get her head clear enough to calculate the distance.

She stood straight, though swaying slightly and took a deep breath, grimacing as she did so. "We should began now then... no matter the distance..."

Niell nodded, "It's a days walk from here if we don't stop, I sent the orcs on another route so it should take them longer. Can you walk on your own or do you need help?"

Silmarwen's jaw was clenched, "I can manage for now...but you'll have to go first... It seems I misplaced my sense of direction..."

She pulled her hood over her head and brought her cloaked tight about her, shivering. Managing to keep up a steady walk, she kept along side Niell, stumbling every now and then.

"You know," Niell said after about an hour of walking, "if it makes you feel any better. The nazgul ran off with my dagger." It was a small attempt to lighten the mood and he knew it probably hadn't worked. But he knew they still had a long way to go and the walk would be an agonizing experience for both.

Silmarwen gave a slight hint of a laugh but bit her lower lip, regretting she had made any movement or action besides walking.

Trying to take her own mind off the pain, she attempted to contribute to the talking, "at least he went away with one heck of a headache..." she paused to support herself against a tree as she coughed heavily.

Niell stopped, his face showing concern. "Are you sure you'll be able to make it. If you stay here I can go on alone. If I run I can be back by midnight."

Silmarwen shook her head stubbornly. "No... you said there would be no time... and delays happen..." she took a deeper breath. "besides, if I come to the point where I can't continue, we'll be closer... then you could run... but I can't allow you to take the chance now... they might suspect something if they see you come in and out too quickly..."

Niell sighed, "well I for one would rather not have to drag you through the woods. They may suspect something but I'll be gone before they can confront me about it. Can you wait here for me?" his voice was almost pleading.

Niell looked relieved, "thank you," he said as he turned to go. "I'll be back soon, I promise." With that he turned and dissapeared through the trees.
