Tahlavain nodded, "and I know they will not heed my warning... there are more of them... too many..." she glanced in the direction from which she had come from.

"If that is the case we should get back on the road. At least that way we will see them coming when they attack"

Deawen sighed as the fire died away she felt the energy of the flaming branch and she dropped it in the fire Deawen went over to Sen and Arenel the dog was limping and whining Deawen knelt beside her dog she looked like she was going to cry but the tears held back. Deawen took out the gem and healed her dog but Deawen's strength was fading faster than she could manage but she held on.

*Sen sat up, slowly. The poison was gone from his system, yet it had taken a while, as he had spent much of his energy cleansing the poison from Tahlavain. Ah well. He stood up, and saw the bodies of several more shadow riders.*
I see you all had a bit of fun while I was resting. Ah well.

Tahlavain nodded. "Well.. now if anyone is lacking a horse, the Death Riders' horses will do... after you take the saddle and bridle off of course... I wouldn't touch such foul attire..."

"Do you need help getting on your horse, Deawen?" she asked kindly, seeing Deawen seemed to be well worn.

While awaiting the answer, Tahlavain went to clean the blood off her sword, but as before, there was no blood on the blade. "strange... " she mumbled as she sheathed it.

"It has been a long time since I rode a horse", Darrell said looking scepitally at one of the horses left by the Maiean. "Nevermind riding bareback. Nevertheless I will do so in order to keep travelling with you all. I favour my own to feet but I don't much fancy travelling alone, knowing what hunts us all".

"If you wish, you may ride with me, saving you the trouble of having to deal with the horse yourself. I shall not be riding Milla, for I fear I may have worn her out too much today." Tahlavain changed steeds, after unsaddling and unbridling one of the dark horses. "These horses, from what I have seen, can take a heavy beating, so it is no trouble if two were to ride."

"Thank you for your offer Tahlavain but I will be capable of managing a horse until we reach Minas Tirith. Then I will acquire one which has not been misused by the forces of evil, with a saddle and reins". Darrell turned and selected a horse standing at the edge of the clearing "You'll do". Then he removed the Tack of the Maiean and threw it on the fire. He mounted the horse "bareback it is, shall we go now? because I recommend haste. As we know it wont be long before more Maieans are sent to waylay us by who ever controls them"

After having made sure Deawen had gotten on her horse, Tahlavain grabbed a handful of mane on one of the dark horses and swung up to settle on its unsaddled back.

Tahlavain nodded to Darrell, not speaking, but whispering to the horse in elvish. The dark horse took off in an instant gallop, while Tahlavain crouched low, to cut down on the wind.

Joining with the main road, Tahlavain paused and glanced both ways, then urged her horse back into a quick pace as soon as she was sure everything was clear.

Darrell urged his horse after Tahlavain. He glanced down the road when they reached it but could not see anything untoward

The horse Tahlavain was riding stopped, but she had not actually commanded the steed to halt. Her expression was puzzled at first, then she drew her sword in realization of what was taking place.

She let out a cry, "Ay! I have again led falsly in this matter! Get down from the dark horses, they will draw the Maiean to us!" Tahlavain got off the horse as it began to side step, sensing her anger.

Hearing Tahlavains shout Darrell drew his sword. He did not feel that the maiean were close but he had his sword ready in case. He swiftly dismounted his steed and turned it away. "I prefer walking any way" he said with a shrug.

Tahlavain relaxed as nothing came but she was still wary. "I prefer to walk as well, but haste is what we need... " Her face was taught with a disturbed expression. She mumbled to herself as she walked, "I was living in Rivendell... peaceful... nothing bothering me... I step out... have Maiean thrown in my face... and the legend of a sword shoved down my throat..." the rest was most likely a string of several curses, though spoken in elvish.
