Morwen finished putting on her armour, strapping her helmet firmly to her head (egghead! ). "Aelfred! Call all of the men to attention in the center of the camp. I need to give my little speach. "Right, ma'am." He went out quickly, looking at the ground. "Oh, how fast he grew up. Ha!" she laughed to herself, "he is not 2 years younger than I. Alright, 'we stand fast...no, no...We stand in the name of...no! Ah!" she slammed her fist onto her camp table. "My lady, they are ready." "Thankyou, sir." She stood, grabbed her spear with the standard, two swords (her own and a conscript one), an axe, and her sheild and mounted Beaduheard. "What in Bema's name am I going to say?" she muttered. She arrived in the middle of the camp to complete silence. Her will quailed a bit, but she went to the center and rested her spear/standard (thingy) in her stirrup. All eyes were on her...
(Now to compose this speach...)

(Dashes from book of speechs )
Deawen watched as all was being made. tents being moved or put away and fire blazing higher the smoke was less but the flames could be seen from far away.
Deawen heard around heard a song start it was one the Dragon tears most beloved.
the terms....
Artinwe ..
i accept your challenge these are the terms i ask
this should be a fight to the death. if you win you can do what you wish with my forces and sister.
if i win my sister will die with if that is a small comfort knowing your love will join you in the afterlife. meet me out on the battle field at sunset.
-Lord Adrod

(OOC: Yes, if you don't mind playing him. since I am sure it was he who got Adrod banished, not the king. Maybe something like in the two towers could be pulled.)

She took as big a breath as her armour would allow (in 'high' Rohirric):
"As I have good cause, so do I give you all my hearty thanks for the good zeal and loving care you seem to have, as well towards your King as to the whole state of our country. We have been persuaded by some to take heed how we commit ourselves to armed multitudes, for fear of treachery; but I assure you, I do not desire to live to distrust my faithful and loving soldiers. Let Darkness fear; I have always so behaved myself that I have placed my chiefest strength and safeguard in the loyal hearts and good will of my men. And therefore I am resolved, in the midst and heat of the battle, to live or die amongst you all, for my kingdom and for my people, my honor and my blood, even the dust. Of you, all of you, faithful soldiers of Rohan, I expect just the same. Fear no evil before which lesser men may quail. I know I have but the body of a weak and feeble woman (*a little bit of laughter ripples through the ranks*), but I vow to slay 50 of the enemy; I will personally bestow decoration on any who surpass me! For the King! For Rohan! For Victory!"
She raised her spear/standard (thingy) and listened to the roaring of the ranks. "Commanders to me!" she yelled over the din. They gathered and Morwen gave instructions. Afterwards, Eohric came up and wispered into her ear, "Lovely speech. Have I heard it before?" "No, actually you haven't. This one is completely new. Not one bit of another, thankyou very much." To the herald she called, "Sound for the line-up. We attack at dawn."

Deawen and the phantoms stopped what they were doing when they heard the cheers from the Rohhirrim some Phantoms laughed others shifted around. Deawen looked around her "Brothers! why do you fear them!? they are no match against us nor are they against us we have joined them for the moment it is Adrods forces we must heed not silly horsemen!" Deawen shouted smileing she knew Morwen would glare at her comment.
"MELLON DAE!" Deawen shouted and like a wave the Cheer rose around her the cheer was loud enough for the rohirrim to hear clearly "MELLON DAE!" Deawen shouted "MELLON DAE!"
Bredol Reared and Deawen Drew her sword "MELLON DAE!"
"FRIEND OF SHADOW!"

(Acha... that's where you get the name. I wondered about that...)
Artinwe had received the terms and found them terribly inadequate. The weapons to be used, et cetera.. all naglected to be mentioned. Well, that had its advantages, he supposed. With such lenience of terms, he could use his bow. He went out, waiting for a Dragon Tear Scout to come through. he intercepted one on the outskirts of camp. "Tell your commander Adrod what I am about to tell you. The message must be verbatim, or I will personally end your life. Tell him this: 'The Lord Artinwe, descendant of Thingol and Melian, shall use his glaive in this duel. He also rejects the term stating theat "he may do with my sister as he likes"; she shall be under no man's dominion should she wish it so. This is his message, and he shall meet the lord Adrod at sunset.' Go." The scout laft hurriedly to report back to Adrod.

(Shall we begin?)
Morwen decided to use the standard charging formation, with a right and left Echelon (/^\) and a line behind as safety. As the sun peaked over the distant mountains, they were ready. The sun glinted off the helmets and weapons.

(are we near forest?)
Dragon tear scout reported the new terms to Adrod
Deawen was no idiot she knew Adrod would be ready by dawn she heard each side marching towards the open space
Deawen looked not frightful in her armor but it made sense with a long black skirt black cloak with the chain mail inside. her helm as it was a Dragon with its neck the nose guard and the wings the cheek guards.
it did not look firece but protective.
Deawen's pale skin shone bright as the morning sun peeked over the horizon.
Bredol was Adorned(is that the right word?) with black chain mail and black cloth. any where the was a sloid piece of metal on him ther was a dragon and or flame. the phantoms dressed in all black as usual but this time the masks were more decrotive with silver and gold leaf. Deawen watched them move to the hill they stayed out of the light to wait Deawen stood at the top looking down at the soon to be battle field

(No forests nearby, no.)
She began one last little address:
"Fear none, let them fear you! They are not daft! If a trap is sprung, listen to the signals. Nu forð (now forth)! Nu forð! Rohirrim forð!"
She sprang forward a few paces as she blew her horn, with the rest blasting a second after. (No need for secrecy with 700 charging horses, right?) She drew her shield close, lowered her spear (one without a flag) and charged down the hill towards Adrod's camp, the black horsehair crest on her helm floating behind. She yelled along with the men behind her.
(Can I do the maneuvers for Adrod's camp? I have a really good idea... )

The charging cavalry hit the edge of the camp.

so it begins!
Adrod forces were not at the camp they were at the base of the hill when Morwens forces charged at them Adrod Smiled the first volly fired striking down riders then then the worst thing fire! a ring of fire was lit around the riders Deawen signaled and four hundred Dragon tears marched around the camps to the right flank the Main host moved forward to the crest of the hill Adrods forces fired volly after volly into the flames till they saw the black line of the Phantoms. they marched towrds them Adrods commands were ignored "Don't Charge them!" he shouted but was not heeded the Dragon tears charged the Phantoms Deawen smiled she held up her sword it flashe in the light Adrod suddenly relised what she was up to. the right flank of deawen forces they charged as the main host Charged but niether force charged through but made a false charge and fired vollies then charged again this time riding through scattering Adrods forces .
