"if I may venture an opinion, my lady Luinnar, camping on a hill was a very sensible thing to do. By being here we were able to see the threat early and prepare for it. The hill also gives us the advantage of higher ground. It gives us a tactical advantage when it comes to the fight. Relinquishing it now would be foolish, as they know we are here. Up on the hill they will be within our bow range before we are within thier's". He turned and looked at the oncoming force. " And we will be perfectly capable of dealing with them. They are not many, they were sent mearly as test of our fighting ability".

Luinnar smirks. "How very....smart...of you to say so.... At least I am not the only one with brains in this group...." She grins and wheels her horse around, cantering down the hill opposite the oncoming army. "But the advantage of surprise is still nice... I'll circle 'round an' cut 'em off from behind!!" Luinnar yells back to Darrell and the others, her men following.

Jaden jumped abord Syndar and drew his bow. Inside it he placed every arrow from his quiver and he began to ride towards the advancing army.

It was something he had learned long ago and came in handy when he knew he wouldn't have enough time to get all his arrows shot otherwise.

Luinnar turns her force around, and they form up in two groups, one going to one side of the hill and the other group to the other side, getting into position for a pincer movement once the enemy gets close enough.

(only 70, I had expected 200 at the least. How are we going to invade Angmar with so few.)

Darrell stood at the centre of the hill, watching the advancing party of orcs, about 50 strong (I had intended more but I hadn't expected our army to be so small) " they will soon be in range he said and unshouldered his bow and laid and arrow on the string "unless some one else wants to lead, I will call the first volley" he said looking questioningly at Lithoniel.

(hang on, aren't there elves from rivendell too. They would increase our numbers by a considerable amount)

(surely the elves came with Lithoniel. I think that make our current forse about 150. When gondorians arrive it should make our numbers somewhere between 300 and 500. Any less and we will have real trouble mounting a successfull assualt on Angmar.)
