The national release date is December 23. I think you are right though...I'd prefer it better in Japanese with subtitles...I wonder how it would sound like in Thai? Hm....I like Michelle Yeoh and Ziyi Zhang

Well, if it was in Thai, it would really have to be dubbed in Thai....

Haha, Bubbleback, I'm happy you like the book! It is absolutely brilliant. Well it's 10:00, and I just came back from the 7:20 show.
The movie was fantastic! If I hade to rate it I would gve it a 8.8 out of a 10. It was brilliant, the end was a little cheesy, but I was happy that they kept all the main aspects of the book. A few things disspapointed me, and that was:
1. The beggining of the movie, in the first scene she is taken away from her parents, first thing. (but i understand that they wanted to make it more dramatic)
2. Nobu should look worse.
3. In the book there is way more with the fasination and discription of ach Kimono Sayuri/Chiyo sees.
4.There is NO fire in the book.
there's more...but my brain's not working well now....
well, yeah, it was really nice though! Excpet for this gropu of really retarded girls who made the whole movie practically unbearable...hehe...

I LOVE that movie... Maybe a sad ending would be a bit better, but it was cool anyways.
Loved the whole love drama in it.

One of my daughter's favourite movies! Best in Japanese with sub-titles. It loses something dubbed.
