AWFUL! my Elf friend When I saw him die...I...I...could not believe it! I cryed a lot! I cryed I tell ya!
I can't stand seen Elves die, when I saw it I screamed:
MASTER HALDIR, NOOOOOO!!!!!
it was soo sad that I skipped that part the next two times that I watched the movie, and even now is kinda hard 2 watch it, I even cover my eyes sometimes...
Elves r NOT sopposed 2 die my Elf friend at least not in battle, with the pain and the blood, u know.
(please excuse my feelings my Elf friends)

EGADS this scene is so emotional for me... And it's not just Haldir, it's the fact that as he dies he sees so many dead Elves around him, he's in shock, realising that Elves can still die, even though they are so much higher than men... IT'S JUST WRONG WRONG WRONG TO SEE A DEAD ELF!!!
Oooooh Haldir...

Well, that's not fair to make Haldir die if he wasn't supposed to - and they threw him into the battle when he wasn't supposed to be there! Noo! (What does Peter Jackson have against him???)
Legolas dying. . . If that happened, I'd think, "Oh well."
Maybe not.

PJ killed of Haldir for another emotional climax! (To get kinda the same effect in the first movie w/ Boromir dying.)
But that still doesn't make it right!!
Killing an elf is a crime!

Agreed! I hereby charge Peter Jackson with wilful murder of an Elf... many Elves! Dammit!

Yes it was because no one else dies in the movie. They found that to be a big problem so they went and killed off Haldir. It's very wrong. Not supposed to happen!
