I'm writing a book at the minuet called The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird. (Temp book title). It's basicly about a young woman (Narweh, sounds Elvish!) who lived a caged life from the world and did not know of the outsiders. She finds two small eggs alone on mountain, cold and lonely, so she keeps them warm till they hatch. She finds two hummingbirds and raises them. One night, one of the birds, Sunbeam, arrives at the door not quite herself. Narweh follows the bird to realise she is in for a long travel and meets a man, Hamish, who tells her that she and him two of the rare haumans(Plains) in the entire world. And other mythical creatures live in RayHill. They travel a long distance and learn of the dangers ahead.
That's it so far but i plan for a great battle blah dee blah and so. What d'you think? It's my first attempt at writing a book and i only started writing it a mounth ago.

Cool. I'm not a writer, but I like reading. I'm something of a book reviewer/critic. Fantasy is my fav genre. It's definitly sounds like you have a good start.

Sounds interesting. I think you'll get somewhere if you perservere.
And make yourself write. Yep, that's honestly the hardest part. Funny, that...

That sounds like an interesting story! I am also thinking of a intricate, very in depth, rich sort of story to write, but I just can't think of one.

Ack, my problem si that I can think up great ideas, but can't express them on paper. I definitly would do better as an editor than a writer. I think that's something I'll pursue as a career. Reading what someone else has written, and improving it sounds fun to me.

I plan to do both. My real strengths lie with writing, but I analyse what I read and what I write as well... I just think I'd be better off trying to make a living as an editor than as an author. Few authors make enough to live off their books.
I'm trying to write a story at the moment. It's going alright - when I make myself sit down and write...

That sounds really cool! I'm not that great of a writer, I wish I were. It sounds like a hit, and I wish you luck!

^Yeah, sometimes I do, too. You just can't seem to get down the right words! There is nothing more frustrating for a writer...

I am working on a couple of stories I wish to turn into books. YAY! So, Elvishgirl, is yours fantasy or sci-fi? It sounds like it could be either kind.
I have been working on my creations for a while now... frustrating business because I wish to make them all part of a series. ACK! Keeping track of it is nutty at times.
Have you written any short stories?

Eerm i guess Mythical/fantasy.
Yeah i'm working on a more modern one called 'Seeing Sarah'. It's about this woman, Jane who works in a 24 hour cafe in London. Her buisness isn't too healthy so she decides to close early and make it a 12 hour open cafe. But just as she's closing up a woman comes to the door (carrying a rose with a purple ribbon tied round it and bag) and wants a coffee. She lets her stay for five mins but when she goes round the back for more coffee, she comes back and the woman is gone. She left a bag behind with an address inside. She travels to the place and on the way she picks up someone who wants a lift. It turns out they are going to the same place. When they get there, she gets told that the woman she picked up is called Sarah and the woman she picked up is her sister. But her sister tells Jane that Sarah died in a car crash with her boyfreind three years ago that day. A few days later Jane visits Sarah's grave and on the the gravestone she saw the same rose that Sarah was holding the night Jane saw her.
I guess it's sort of a mystery story.

Oh!
It sounds lovely! They both do, you're really great with creative ideas. Some time ago, I had started writing a "novel" it was really quite interesting, but I only got to chapter four . So, I wish you luck!! And don't give up and leave it there half-done, 'cause it sounds really, very good! Both of them! Make it your new year's resolution
