Tindomerel watched Rhayader sleep. She pulled her long ebony hair out of the ponytail and started braiding it in a single long braid. She contined braiding as Nimloth got up and sniffed at Rhayader's face.
"Nimloth!" hissed Tindomerel.
The white wolf stopped, trotting over to Tindomerel's side as she continued braiding her hair. "Don't wake him up," she hissed, "He needs his rest."

Arinae sighed as she walked out the door, her expression troubled and weary. She glanced around, and not seeing anyone at the moment, she slumped against one of the pillars, her head in her hands. "Hold, just hold, just wait... wait?! Wait for what? Wait for them to hit us when they want to?! Wait to....I'm just inexperianced, I shouldn't even be here...." she muttered to herself a while longer, though the rest of the words weren't very clear.

Arinae half jumped, her hand flying to her sword hilt, but she relaxed and sat back against the pillar, nodding. "Yes, I'm fine.... just.... thinking."

Arinae let out a sigh. "To remain here within the walls and prepare a defence... I suppose I should start.... " she mumbled quietly as she stood and began walking towards the headquarter, barracks, and stables.

Rhayader twitched and rolled onto his bad shoulded. He woke with a moan and layed back onto his back. He glanced at the elf and smiled.

"Oh, Rhayader," said Tindomerel, kneeling at the side of the bed, "I think it worked too well. Are you alright? When Lebethron came back without you..."
She bit her tongue, not wanting to say it. Nimloth trotted over to the elf's side. Nimloth licked Rhayader's face. Tindomerel smiled. "Nimloth was worried about you, too."

Rhayader tried to bat the wolf away with a weak hand but ended up just patting him on the head.
"I fine enough, as long as none of th villagers were hurt then I did my job."
He looked up at Tindomerel.

Tindomerel smiled softly at Rhayader. "I don't believe anyone was hurt," she said, 'And Lebethron is fine."
She looked at Rhayader, worried. "Are you sure you're okay?"
Tindomerel was worried sick about Rhayader. Nimloth gave Rhayader one last slobbery lick and flopped down on the floor, loudly.

After Arinae had seen to it that preparations were made for defence, she sent out a few scouts to keep an eye on the progress of the enemy, and also sent a messenger to deliver the word of Edoras' needs for assistance.
Arinae sighed and sat on a highpoint, overlooking the plains beyond Edoras' gates.
