And there goes my sour attempt to start up a conversation.

I'm here Kit, and I did read your essay At first I wondered why on earth you voted for him and you gave a longer explanation then I expected.
Kitoky wrote: Okay yes, Percy's a git. Half of the people from the ministry are GITS. It's a factory of GITS. But we've known Percy since the first book, we know his character, and we know his ambitions. So he's not exactly knight in shining armor. He's not exactly in tune with believing Dumbledore.
He's a man of order. We've known this since book 1. Prefect. Head Boy. Crouch's Assistant. He likes order. The Ministry of Magic is the epitome of ORDER. Yes, Percy has believed in order all his life. He trusts the ministry; I'm sure he cares for his family, but Percy is well, stubborn. He's not going to turn his back on what he's believed in his entire life. So he works at the ministry, there's nothing wrong believing in your government because if no one did things would become very confusing, seeing as they're what is supposed to keep a country together and united. Look at it this way; Dumbledore and the Order are a type of government, not in the technical sense, but their the head honchos of the war against Voldemort. Harry, the Weasleys, Lupin, and so on trust in Dumbledore. They'll follow him no matter what he says, just look at Snape. Percy has this trust in the ministry, most unfortunately they're a bunch of gits. Those quotes from the book show that he did respect Dumbledore. Well of course he would, when Percy was at Hogwarts Dumbledore and the staff were the form of order. And he's dissaproving when Dumbledore does something unconventional like not tell the Prefects why the third floor corridor is out of bounds. Does he act on it? No. Would he act on anything he thought was a bit off at the ministry? No. Quote: Turning his back on his family. He didn't do it entirely. He sent Ron letters. Trying to persuade him. I'm sure he wrote to the others as well --- they just didn't want to follow him and the ignorance of the Ministry.
Percy wanted his family to follow the ministry, and the rest of the Weasley's wanted Percy to follow Dumbledore. We see it as Percy turning away from his family, but from Percy's point of view his family went off and followed someone other than the government and left him on his own.

Yey!
 You rock Beri.
I mean, this is the reason why I think Percy will clear his name in the end --- or well, what we think, to clear his name.

Well, I know nothing about art/fan art, what was I supposed to say. I liked the picture, hence the "That is so cool!" I didn't know what else to say, other than give my opinion on the drawing. At least it was more than one word, eh?
Beri said: Percy wanted his family to follow the ministry, and the rest of the Weasley's wanted Percy to follow Dumbledore. We see it as Percy turning away from his family, but from Percy's point of view his family went off and followed someone other than the government and left him on his own.
I never thought about it that way, but it's very true. To Percy, it seems like the right thing. I just don't like his attitude when he sees that he's wrong but he still turns away. I think it's quite selfish/prideful. Just my opinion.

To me that's where his mistake was, not "turning his back" on his family. In the end I think that will be redeemed though Quote: Yey! You rock Beri.

May I join' too? . All Weasleys rock, but of course twins are the best.
Percy - i think he isn't bad - he just wants to be rich and famous in the world of sorcerers. He is different from his family - that's the reason most of people don't like him

I love the Weasleys! I'm in! I would have voted for Fred, but no one voted for Ron yet. So I did him.

I'll join this club! I voted for Ginny. She is one of my favorites, but I like the twins and Ron too.
