Wow I read so much....but i guess my favourite books would probably be either The Hobbit, cuz my dad read it to me when I was 4 and I've been reading it once a year ever since, or the Redwall series!!!! That series is so amazing(by Brian Jacques) If you havn't read it, and you like fantasy(which assuming you're a part of this LORD OF THE RINGS forum, you do) then u have to try them!! they're amazing!! :bounce:

Ooh, Steven King lives a few hours away from me...never read any of his stuff though.
I loove reading! I remember the first chapter book I read, I was so proud of myself...Amelia Bedelia's Christmas. :P
Here's some of my favorites:
The Cat Who... mystery series
The Swan House
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Beowulf (Yes, I know that sounds REALLY stupid and all, but I really like it! )
Hitchhikers
Redwall
The Mrs. Polifax mystery series
Narnia
When I was little, I loved the Boxcar Children! I need to go back and read a few of those...

Uhm... I used to love the Laura Ingalls Wilder books when I was younger.
-Now I love Harry Potter,
-LoTR of course,
-Philip Pullman's trilogy Northern Lights,
-Danish series (don't know how to translate it) by Lene Kaaberbøl,
-a Swedish-Finnish character called Mumitrolden (the Mumi troll or something)...
What else? Oh yes,
-Girl with a Pearl Earring
-Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

If I wasn't such a slow reader I would have read lots of more. But I can't read for very long at one time. I get headache sometimes... so unfair, because I love to read. I'm gonna read some famous Danish litterature, but also Shakespeare and Dickens.

I like Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit is my all time favorite. I've read that so many times...

I also like To Kill a Mockingbird and The Catcher in the Rye, and we read Night in history class this year, and I thought that was really amazing. I sat and read it for two hours, and I was sobbing by the end. People can be so horrible...

Hmmm... I like Harry Potter, and on the easier to read side, if I don't want to have to think very much, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books. I also liked Eragon, and I'm really anticipating Eldest's release. Eragon was great, but predictable. I'm looking forward to seeing where Paolini takes the story.

I also have loved the Chronicles of Narnia books since I was really young, because my parents used to read it to my brothers and sisters and me. I haven't read them since... hmmmm... about 4 years ago. I'm going to start them as soon as I'm done my summer reading, which could take forever....

I've never actually gotten all the way through That Hideous Strength. Perhaps one of these days I'll get around to reading it...

I absolutely adore all the books in the Alex Rider series, they're excellently written and the plots are very well thought out.
Or, as you could say, miniature James Bond in action.

I like the Artemis Fowl Series. I've read a couple of the Sally Lochart Books by Phillip Pullman, which I enjoyed aswell. Then there is the Harry Potter series and the Narnia Chronicals. They are all brilliant. I am sure I have more favourite books, but I can't remember them now.
