Out of interest, having never heard DragonForce...what are they like?
What genre? What other bands are they like, if any?

They're an AMAZING band! They play power metal music. I personally feel it's hard to compare them since they're very unique in my opinion. Awesome melodies (so catchy you won't get them out of your head), extreme speed in terms of instruments playing (divine shredding here!), an amazing lead singer and very powerful fantasy inspired lyrics!

Whoooooooooohooooooooooooo I'm baaaaaaaaack!

Yes, I'm still very very hyper so bear with me and I'll try and make as much sense as possible.

Opening Act was a band from Sweden called Sabaton. Nice Power Metally types. Poor guys only got to play 3 songs though...but I heard enough to spark interest. Check em out.

Edguy:

Oh man what can I say about Edguy?
They have quite possibly the most charismatic frontman in Tobias Sammet. They played Mysteria, Superheroes, Vain Glory Opera, Lavatory Love Machine and ended with King of Fools. They were so unbelievably awesome. Tobias said that they will be back for a headliner. Yayness.

The Main Event:
Wow Wow Wow
Amazing show. ZP is also a great frontman..the whole band are very energetic and like to have a lot of fun onstage. They make mistakes and just keep going, they don't care lol
Herman is quite simply put..an Uber God...I cannot believe how fast his fingers were going at times. Sam is very very good too...don't think he was too sober lol he always had a bottle of beer hanging off his lips. lmao
Vadim..Vadim..Vadim...on occasion he would get up onto the little podium thingy that was built and had a hand held keyboard thingy and he'd play it there.
Trying to remember all the songs that they played..I'll likely forget in the excitement..but here goes.
My Spirit will go on ( the opener), Operation Ground and Pound, Through the Fire and Flames...okay minds went totally blank here.
They encored with Heart of a Dragon and Valley of the D*mned


All in all it was a fantastic show. All 3 bands performed there butts off and made it a great night for all in attendance.

Oh yeah....and Herman looked HOT! (hadda get that in last lol)

I think it's almost a certainty that they will play both songs. I can't imagine they wouldn't.

Show ended about...11ish give or take 5 minutes. I wasn't looking at my phone to see the time..I was basking in the afterglow of awesomeness.
Absolutely amazing show all round.
I think you'll really, really love Edguy too. I'd loved for them to play longer..but alas another time.
