hehe i guess I was pretty angry when I posted this, but now I know it is a joke! I just don't understand why he spent all that time writing out all those supposed flaws when he hates lotr, it must have taken him ages!

i think its funny when people get all worked up about it. He's obviously joking (either that or hes too stupid to be considered a threat).

Yeah, please, calm down people! There's really no point in refuting all the dumb stuff he said - everyone here agrees with you already! And, if you look at the page that "50 Reasons why LotR sucks" was originally on, the URL is something like Pointlesswasteoftime.com. If that isn't a clue that it's not worth it to make a big deal over this, then I don't know what is!

(I mean, come on - reason #3 is "Millions of copies of the LOTR DVDs have thick black bars at the bottom and top of the screen throughout the film. Didn't anyone catch this? You know what happens at the end, in the extreme foreground and extreme upper sky?")

Sorry about getting worked up I wrote this in like June! And I was on my old post searching for something and I found this! I was like "how could my old self get that worked up??" yea so sorry about that!

Heheh yeah, don't worry about it, hattie I think we ringers just have a tendency to get worked up about anything that remotely insults LotR. Anyone remember Dave Barry's column making fun of LotR? (I seem to remember something about Gollum looking like Dick Cheney with a combover or something equally ridiculous.) He got loads of hate mail after the column ran, and a lot of the people writing in just gave ringers a bad name, they seemed so overreactive!
