Tenna listened in silence to the introductions between Mursan, Anduril, and Rhav, waiting patiently for her chance to greet the newcomer.

Pellagwin slithered down from Tenna's shoulders to sit at her side, observing Delhu as she sat quivering at Mursan's side. The small dragon's sapphire eyes glittered gently as he crouched, curling his tail around his elven friend's ankles protectively.

Tenna glanced down at the dragon with a quick smile, then looked at Mursan and bowed very slightly as she introduced herself.

"My name is Tenna Wilwarin, m'lord," she said, adding quickly as she gestured to her animal companions, "and this is Belle, and Pellagwin."

Belle snorted, her one blue eye, and one brown eye watching Mursan and Delhu with caution. She stepped up beside Tenna and layed her ears back against her head slightly as a warning.

Pellagwin looked from Daugion to Delhu, back and forth, noticing the hostility in Daugion's expression as he watched the dog, and bared his sharp teeth at the wolf, uncurling his tail from Tenna's ankles to whip it back and forth.

She didn't even threaten you! Leave her alone!

Tenna nudged Pellagwin with a booted toe, and shook her head as she scowled in a scolding manner at the dragon.

Don't provoke, Pell...

Mursan bowed slightly to Tenna. "A pleasure to meet you m'lady. And you aswell." He bowed to Belle and Pellagwin.

Rhavaniel smiled and dipped her head at her with a hjalf-smile. The wolf at her heels yawned loudly.

(Aww, sorry you were sick, Anduril. Actually, I'm not sure how I did just yet... we haven't gotten the results back yet, you see. National tourneys sometimes take longer than State ones. ^^ Welcome back, Anduril!)


Tenna looked at Anduril and smiled slightly as she scratched Belle behind the ears, pushing her head back down. "Some horses will come out like that," she said. "What I mean is sometimes if either the mother or father have blue eyes, the baby could come out with both blue eyes, or just one. It's normal."

Belle nuzzled at the young elf maiden's shoulder affectionately, and suddenly a memory flashed in Tenna's mind... (Random memories! Woo!)

Tenna's father led his young, excited daughter out to one of their fenced fields, one hand over her eyes. Tenna bounced on her heels, eager to tear her father's hand away from her vision so she could see the wonderful gift he had in store for her.

"Alright, Tenna," her father said gently. "Open your eyes, love."

The young elfling opened her eyes to see a beautiful black filly standing at the fence, gazing back at her with mismatched eyes - one silver-blue, the other rich, chocolate brown. Tenna's eyes danced as she approached the filly, one hand outstretched. The horse reached out as far as her nose would go to nuzzle the girl's hand with affection, whickering softly.

"Papa... she's... she's really mine? For real?" Tenna asked in wonder, looking up at her father. "She's so beautiful!"

Her father smiled. "Just like you, youngling," he said, ruffling her hair with one hand.

"But Papa... how come her eyes are different colors?"

"She just came out like that, love," the elder elf replied, kneeling down to his daughter. "You and this mare... you'll do great things together, Tenna. Great things... what'll you call her, then?"

Tenna leaned on the fence and put both hands on the filly's forehead, and pondered the few names she had listed in her mind. "What about... Belle," she looked into her filly's eyes and smiled. "What d'you think?"

To her surprise, the filly replied forcefully, shoving her thoughts suddenly into Tenna's mind.

Okay!, she said, neighing excitedly and flicking her tail. I like it! But... now I'm hungry.

The memory flooded from Tenna's mind as fast as it had come, and she jumped slightly as Belle shoved her hard from her thoughts.

Wake up, over there! she shouted through her mind, forceful as always.

"The question would be why is any one of us here at this time," Arinae's voice sounded out behind them, Stardance slightly prancing and pulling against her hold on the reins. She stood beside the steed, having decided to not ride him until his leg was healed. Her dark green eyes observed each person there in turn, the gaze resting on Mursan with a slight distrust.

Anduril spun round and after meeting Arianae look for look, she gracefullly fell to one knee, " indeed Lady," she rose "i am the Lady Anduril Peredhil, i was returning from Godor to the Shire to pay a visit to some friends threre, when i heard there was troubel over this way, and came to see what could be done."
