so has anyone read The Lost Colony yet? it's Artemis Fowl 5, and i think it's the most intricate one yet, if not the best of them.

what did you think?

I'm exactly right in the middle of it. I concur, not as good as OD, but still quite good. Minerva annoys me. And I'm worried about Holly. And I still wish Root would somehow come back.

But Artemis is finally experiencing adolescence! About time!

I know, it's so funny how determined he is to avoid it! I tottaly agree on the Root comment though, him dying was just not right somehow... :'(

I have read almost all Fowls, except The Lost Colony, because I'm reading it at the moment. I was really disappointed when I read The Opal Deception, and I really hoped, that this new book would be better. It has been a little better, but I think that the first book was absolutely best. Fourth book was so... I dunno somehow different and the intrigue was quite awful. Still the dialog is very funny, and I laugh a lot for Foaly and Diggums :D
I have also translated the text, but ODs translation is still unfinished. How I can find time for that, too.... :confused2:

I love Eoin Colfer's style - very entertaining.
I've read the all of the books in the Artemis Fowl series (the first and second ones were my favorites). I've also read The Wish List, which I liked a lot, and his new one called Half Moon Investigations. <that one's sort of different than the Fowl series and The Wish List, since it's mystery, but it's still pretty good.
