Vardainel's eyes brightened when she realized who the elf was. "Cousin Elenanna!" she said as she sheathed her sword and ran up to hug her, "It has been long since I have seen you. I carry a message to King Eomer. Would you like to accompany me?" Then suddenly Vardainel heard the sounds of battle. "Follow me!" she called, unsheathing her sword once again. By the time she arrived the orcs were already dead and a man and two elves were talking. "Mae Govannen," she said to them, "I am Vardainel, Princess of Mirkwood. My companions and I are traveling to Edoras." She paused and surveyed the dead orcs and said, "I see you have dealt with these vile creatures. Are any of you badly wounded?"

Dunedan is badly wounded I arrived after the orcs were slain"

Vardainel wlaked over to the man. "Lord Elegost," she said, "I am considered a skilled Healer back home and if you will show me your wound, I may be able to help you."

Vardainel grimaced as Elegost turned and showed her his wound. "Yes," she said solemnly,"Your wound is greivous. I will do what I can." She then reached into a pouch she kept on her belt and dug out some herbs. "This may sting, but it is nescessary," she said as she began rubbing some of the herbs into his wound. She continued to work for a long while. When she decided she had done all she could do, she bandaged his wound and stood. "Orcs. Filthy creatures," she muttered to herself angrily before continuing to speak to him, "I have done what is in my power to do. I think with a little rest you will be as good as new. If you come with me to Edoras, I am sure Eomer will see that you are taken care of."
