Lol, *huggles all* thanks for the support!
I've finished The Magician's Nephew, amazingly! :)
I loved it a lot, and I can't wait to start the next book.

I guess I can't really say yet whether I like one over the other. I need to read more of the books first. :)

Books. I haven't seen the movies yet, but the fact that the White Witch in the movies isn't white as salt makes me think I could never love them as much as the books. I think I'll like it pretty well, but...

I'm a Lewis Purist. And Narnia is my first love.

So I'm a little mellowdramatic... LOL!

It's ok Lothril. When you're that dedicated to something, you can be a purist. I tend to get slightly attached so little things dont' bother me. Now, I wish I was a purist like Lothril!

I've never been quite so keen on being a purist of anything.....I want to open my mind to different things.

I'm definitely open to different ways.

I adore and love the books immensely. And when something so dear to me is adapted, I tend to over-critisize it because it's different. Not just because it's different, but because of it's difference it cannot be like my original love.
I hope that makes sense.

The movie was great, but didn't possess that richness that the book does.

I have now seen the movie. I almost cried for the inaccuarcies. It was a good adaptation, but um... I know the book too well to take any adaptation. I saw every flaw and every mistake, and well, I like the book better. The movie was quite good, for what it was, but the books are better. At least for me.

Alas! It was not my Narnia I was seeing on screen!

A purist is a miserable thing when something like this happens. I could only accept P. Jackson's middle-earth because I saw FotR before I read the trilogy.

One thing I will rave about though, Mr. Tummness was phenomially done! The acting was supurb, the makeup was fabulous, and I just adored the job he did. I will gladly adopt him for my Mr. Tummness over the one I have been using in my head.
