Here is a fan fic- my own version of LOTR's, i havne't changed the story, i've just added bits to it. its quite good says my friends. i made pics for it too, but i don't know how to load pics on here so sorry guys just text for now. well i'm only posting a paragraph at a time. so here goes.... (some of it is quite funny)...let me know what ya think...

It was a warm and peaceful day in the Shire; Frodo Baggins the Hobbit was in the woods once more reading beneath his favourite tree. Frodo was a fine young Hobbit and was going to be thirty-three soon, which is the so-called, ‘coming of age’ and nevertheless he still looked and felt like he was still in his tweens. He hated the expression, ‘coming of age,’ it made him feel old. Frodo had a real passion for books and also enjoyed walking about the hills and woods surrounding the outskirts of the Shire.

For the first time in over a century, humans had come to live in the Shire. Their names were Emlyn and Sophria, two girls who had travelled to the Shire to find refuge with the Hobbits after their country of Wilderland had been terrorised by Goblins. The Great Eagles of the Misty Mountains rescued the girls, and told them to flee to the Shire where they would be safe, but only for a short while.
For there was another reason why they were sent to the Shire, that only Emlyn knew of…but this will come out later in the story…

During their journey to reach the Shire they had to pass through the Misty Mountains where they came across a wild dog who they named Max. (*awkward cough*) Max was planning on having the girls for lunch but when Emlyn retaliated with her sword, Max backed off, as he was too weak to fight. He then told his story about him being captured as a pup and tortured to do the will of evil folk. An evil witch sorceress put a spell on him so that he could talk and did other horrible experiments(* :duh:*). He was used as a slave for the Goblins, who rode him like a horse and made him devour and mutilate innocent women and children.

But one day he finally had a chance of escape and so he fled to the Misty Mountains where he kept hidden in the caves and lived off scraps and unwary Goblins. But soon the Goblins moved on, they were unable to search for the beast that hunted them in the darkness so they fled in fear to another cave. As the years went on, food became scarce, and Max became weaker and weaker. So when he could smell the scent of fresh blood from the girls, he wasted no time at all, but he was far too weak to even pounce on the two girls. Emlyn felt sorry for him and asked him if he would like to start a new life and to journey with them to the Shire where he could live in peace. He agreed to this and in return Emlyn gave him some of her food.

Soon after reaching the Shire Max enjoyed the traditional life of a pampered dog, so much in fact that he stopped talking and began barking or whimpering instead just as a normal dog would do. But unfortunately Max was already very old when arriving in the Shire and died within a year of his arrival.:(

Whilst Frodo was in the woods Emlyn was with his clever old Uncle Bilbo. She was listening to his stories about his adventure that he had written down in a book called, ‘There and back again, a Hobbits tale by Bilbo Baggins’.
He would often talk about how he managed to find his magic ring. He said that he found it on his adventures with the dwarfs, where he met the creature Gollum, which Emlyn didn’t like the sound of. What ever it was, Emlyn new the ring was Gollum’s and he treasured it. Emlyn kept persisting, saying she wanted to know more, but Bilbo couldn’t tell her, as he didn’t know its history of how it came to Gollum.......

It's amazing! Poor Max... :) Let's have the Lord of the Rings republished with this squeezed in :-D Does it continue a little further? Will Emlyn try and search for Gollum? After a brief romance with Frodo ofcourse? :bounce: And then will she be captured by King Thandruil, where she found Gollum in the dungeons. And the she helped him escape perhaps? Yaj, would fit right in!

Well if you want i'll tell you Emlyn's secret mission... she knew about the ring, in fact she was sent by someone to keep on eye on it and its bearer, but she could not say anything until the time was right, as the person who sent her said that there would be a disturbance shortly... wanna know more?

well here you go (couldn't wait for a response sorry... heehee)

“So what do you think my dear? Any good?” asked Bilbo.
“Of course it is! It’s the best story ever!” said Emlyn.
“Oh but its not just a story, it’s a ‘true story’ you know,” said Bilbo.
“Yes I know, and I’m very proud of you,” said Emlyn.

She was very fond of old Bilbo; of course he was a very likable character. It was because of Bilbo she met Frodo, who she became very good friends with, but some of the hobbits suspected them to be more than just friends…although everyone thought they were an odd couple as Emlyn was two foot taller than Frodo. :duh:

Sometimes Emlyn would hang out with his friends Samwise Gamgee, Merry Brandybuck and Pippin Took, who Emlyn thought were lots of fun to be with, even when she was down they always cheered her up. But Emlyn hadn’t seen much of Sam in recent days as he was with Sophria who had been very sick. The hobbits thought she might have been bitten by something, but Pippin insisted she had a bad case of the flu, so the hobbits rested at her being bitten, because they never believed a word Pippin said. :duh:

Samwise Gamgee was very fond of ‘Miss Sophria’ as he called her and was always there for her, especially this time when she was sick. He would bring her breakfast in the morning and second breakfast, oh and not forgetting elevenses. Emlyn hoped she would get better before Bilbo’s birthday party, which everyone was very excited about because Bilbo was going to be 111 years old, which is a very respectable age for a hobbit, and there was going to be a huge festivity; not just for Bilbo but for Frodo as well because their birthdays were on the same day.

Emlyn had offered to assist making the preparations for Bilbo’s party such as baking cakes and making decorations, that sort of thing. But it was not going to be decorations or cakes that would make the party special. Gandalf the Grey would be coming with his bright big fireworks. Emyln had always wanted to meet this Gandalf ever since her grandfather Beorn told her all about him when she was just 6 years old. He told her how Gandalf came to visit him with Bilbo and some dwarfs. But Beorn died when Emlyn was 7 and she never got to ask anymore questions about Gandalf.

It was soon the 22nd of September the day of the celebration. Everybody was running around making the last preparations for Bilbo’s big party.
Everyone except Emlyn and Frodo who were sitting together in the woods talking.
“Do you think people will ever accept us?” asked Frodo with a sigh.
Emlyn looked at him and started to stroke his curly brown locks, “Frodo, I don’t care if they accept us or not, we’re going to be married and that’s that!”
Frodo looked up at her, even though they were sitting down, Frodo’s head only came up to Emlyn’s shoulder which he rested himself upon, “My dear Emlyn, you are right, but when are we do be married? And where?”
“Let us journey to the Rivendell and let Elrond marry us,” said Emlyn.
:duh: “Emlyn, get real,” said Frodo as he raised his head from her shoulder and looked at her, one eyebrow higher than the other, “We cannot elope, even though I would love to live with elves… I love the Shire too much. Also I’d miss Merry and Pippin, and most of all Sam,”
“Yes Frodo, you right,” said Emlyn, “I couldn’t leave Sophria, and I also love the Shire, and it is my duty to look after and protect it,”
Frodo then look at her confused, “What do you mean?” he asked.
But before Emlyn could answer there came a sound of a horse drawn cart coming up the road nearby, and with it someone merrily humming a tune.
Frodo’s face changed radically! His eyes lit up and his mouth widened as he smiled… “It’s him!” he cried as he got up and grabbed Emlyn’s arm, “Come on! This is someone you’ve always wanted to meet,”.........
