"I'm not lying, Evey!" Felicity said, then looked upset at Susan's comment. At Evelyn's statement, Felicity looked a little hopeful. Peter looked at Evelyn, feeling skeptical about the whole thing, but he shrugged it off. "Yeah, we can take a look." At that, both Lucy and Felicity smiled. "Come on, then!" they said in unison, before turning and heading back to the Wardrobe room.

Susan followed the others into the room. The wardrobe was impressive, if she was a little younger she would have loved to join in Lucy's game.

Just then Lucy opened the door wide and exclaimed, "Now! go in and see for yourselves."

Susan sighed, put her head in the wardrobe and reached between the coats. For a moment all she could feel was the soft fur, then...*knock* the wood of the back panel. "Why, you goose," She pulled the coats apart and showed them all the back, "it's just an ordinary wardrobe; look! there's the back of it."

Evelyn stood next to Susan, also checking the wardrobe. She sighed as she too came to the conclusion that it was impossible to have gone anywhere through it. She looked at the two younger girls.

Lucy and Felicity looked at each other, both looking upset. "But it was there earlier...there was a forest and snow..and.." Lucy said softly, and Felicity sighed. "We can't expect them to believe us, Lu.." she said, before turning and leaving without another word.

Evelyn looked like she wanted to go after Felicity, but stood planted on the ground. She <i>wanted</i> to believe them, but all ruels of reason told her otherwise. She sighed and looked at Peter, who was standing opposite her.

Peter sighed softly. "We don't all have your imagination, Lu.." was all he said, and Lucy looked frustrated. "But I wasn't imagining! Oh, forget it..you may not believe us, but I know we're right." she said, before also turning and leaving.

Evelyn watched Lucy as she left, and sighed. She looked at Susan and Peter, then said quietly, "I should go check on Felicity...I'll see you later," and left.

Susan nodded solemnly. This day had not turned out the way any of them had expected. She glanced at the boys, "Come on, I think this has all gone a bit far. Let's go to our rooms."

Evelyn nodded. "I hope so, too...I mean, I want to believe them, I'd <i>like</i> to believe them, but all rules of logic say that it's completely impossible." She sighed. "Oh, well. Talk to you tomorrow morning," she said.

Susan entered the room she shared with Lucy and shut the door. The young girl was dressing for bed, and Susan proceeded to do the same. "Do you want me to read you a story?" She asked shyly. Lucy looked at her, her tear-stained face upturned pitifully. "No thank you. I should think you would have had enough of stories for one day."

"But Lu..." Susan said, quite upset. Without looking at her sister, Lucy climbed into bed and turned out the electric light beside her. Susan sighed and turned back the covers, ready to climb into bed. Just then she heard a small, frightened voice: "The sheets are scratchy." Susan got into bed and cradled Lucy in her arms, "Everything is going to be alright."

Evelyn sat on her bed long after Felicity had fallen asleep. She sighed and looked down at the covers. She was sitting cross-legged, her hands fiddling with the blanket. She felt so bad. Felicity was so upset...but there was more plaguing her emotions than just worrying about her cousin, and she knew it. She sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
