Ginnabrik hit Tumnus on the head with the staff of his axe suddenly, and Jadis turned back to Edmund. "I said...where is Aslan?"

Edmund looked at Tumnus, who tried to tell him in a look not to tell. "I...I don't know," he said, thinking quickly. "I left before they said anything. I wanted to see you!"

Jadis looked at Edmund hard for a moment, before looking at Tumnus. "Guard!"
"Your Majesty?" the guard grunted as he walked in.
"Release the faun." Jadis said simply, and the guard grunted and walked over to Tumnus, and after hitting the shackles around his feet, dragged him and dropped him at Jadis' feet.
"Do you know why you're here, faun?" Jadis asked, looking down at Tumnus contemptuously.

Jadis' mouth twisted slightly in contempt. "You're here because he.." she started, pointing her wand at Edmund, "Turned you in. For sweeties." After a moment, Jadis looked at the guard. "Take him upstairs." she said, and the guard grabbed Tumnus and dragged him from the room. "And ready my sleigh." she said to Ginnabrik. "Edmund misses his family."

Tumnus looked surprisedly at Edmund, who was shocked that the Witch had said so. He sat there, regretful and disgusted with himself.
Evelyn was up first the next morning, and stood next to a tree as the others awoke. She sighed and looked at the Beavers as they led the way.

Evelyn nodded and walked on. Later that day, they crossed over a "bridge"-like rock, which held an amazing view. Beaver suddenly stopped and pointed out things. "Now Aslan's camp is near the Stone Table, just across the frozen river."
