Felicity skidded to a stop, looking stunned. "You're not serious..."

"Mmm-hmm," said Ev, nodding. "Three whole hours. Got up a couple of hours early this morning - spare time kind of annoys me."

Felicity just shook her head, not really knowing what to say.

Ev smiled, then tucked her hair behind her ear again. It was up, but in a loose style, and a few strands hung elegantly on the side of her face. She had also given herself a little bit of time off...she decided to go to the library.

[I hope there is one...otherwise I think she and Su would die! lol]

Felicity sighed softly, before turning and heading back to her room to get her bow, since she'd just decided to get some archery practice in.

Ev entered the huge room, not having laid her hand on a different book for ages. She missed her Jane Austen novels...and she was sure they didn't have any in Narnia. She set about scouring the shelves for something interesting.

Ed, who had been out practicing with his sword, noticed Felicity going for some practice, and paused for a moment.

So absorbed in her own thoughts, Felicity didn't even notice Edmund as she passed him.

Ed lowered his sword, "Felicity!" he called.

Felicity jumped in surprise and dropped her bow in the process, then turned and saw Edmund. "Yes..?"

"Sorry," he said, "For startling you, but I didn't expect to see you out here." He smiled. "It's a pleasant surprise."


Ev spotted a book on the seventh shelf up that she was interested in, and tried to reach for it. She growled irritatedly, then jumped and tried to grab it. She groaned at being 'vertically challenged,' then jumped higher and grabbed the spine of it, pulling it out and dropping two more books in the process. She sighed irritatedly and closed her eyes, then bent down to pick them up before walking over to a chair near a window to enjoy her find.


[Sorry, I just love when things like that happen to people (even me) in a library..lol HAD to write it in. It's soooo funny.]

Felicity smiled as well, then bent down and picked up her bow. "Ev just told me I had some free time this morning, and I decided to get some practice in."

Ed nodded, then said, "You deserve it. Enjoy yourself."

Felicity smiled again, then inclined her head slightly, before turning and continuing towards the archery range.

Ed smiled and watched her as she went along, then continued with his sword practice.


Ev checked the time: two and a half hours left. She sighed and looked back down at her book, then leaned her forehead against the side of the window, staring out.

Once at the archery range, Felicity began filling up the target with arrows almost immediately. It was almost like releasing pent-up frustrations...before much longer, she sighed and set her bow aside, then went over to the target and removed the arrows, and began the process all over again.

Ev spotted her cousin in the archery range, and watched with a slight smile, then returned to her book. UGH, it was no use...she had gotten her mind back on Jane Austen and wouldn't settle until she found some. She got up and began to scour the shelves, though she knew to no avail.
