Ev checked the time, then groaned and closed her book. She got up and set about her chores for the afternoon.

Ev sat in her room a couple of days later, brushing her hair, when a knock sounded at her door. She got up to answer it. "Yes?" she asked.
"Their Majesties Queen Susan and Queen Lucy have summoned you to their chambers."
Ev nodded, then went off, not having changed into her night clothes yet. She met Felicity in the halls and asked, "You've been summoned, too?" _________________ <center>
