Eressea bowed her head to Elegost. "I am glad to meet you also," she said as she mounted her horse. She watched Elegost shake hands with people before he announced that they would be off. She glanced at one man who had two cheetahs with him. She had never seen cheetahs before so she led her stallion over to where he sat with them. "Those are lovely animals," she said, "What are their names?" Before the man answered her she noticed someone else had joined the group. She turned and realized that it was King Eldarion's sister. Eressea managed an awkward bow from her saddle. "Hello my Lady. I did not know that you would be joining us."

Kamau glanced over at Eressea. He waited as she greeted Annwyn, then spoke to her. "These are my friends, Kainda and Kanoro. They'll be joining us on our journey. Oh, and my name is Kamau. I'm pleased to meet you."

Amoniel pushed Hareth into a faster canter. She glanced at her fellow riders, she knew who each was, but only by face.

"I am pleased to meet you also," Eressea said to Kamau as they began to take off.
They had been riding for some time when Eressea saw movement in the trees off to their left side. She gave a wary glance to the riders on both sides of her and began to urge Mandarb in that direction. She drew her sword and held it ready. When she came close to the cluster of trees a lone orc began to run as fast as he could away from the army. Eressea flung her sword at its back and the orc fell with a strangled scream. She rode over and retrieved her sword. "A scout!" she called to the other riders, "There are probably more close."

Elegost's attention was drawn by the awful sound coming from his behind. He ordered the rest of the riders to stop and dismount their horses. Looked at the trees where orc fell down. He started to speak as still looked at the orc who was spilled some blood already. "Scout"? he said. We can not continue in this case. Any ideas about what we can do to get passed safely? he asked by staring at the people one by one.
