I haven't seen any poetry contests yet. If mine's the first one, cool! Anways...
If you would like to join, we will have, I think probably 9 spots. And yes I can save a spot for you.
Rules
1. Poem must be written by you.
2. It has to be 3 - 24 stanzas
3. Make sure I can see the title clearly (you might want to make it underlined or bold or something so that I know it's the title)
4. It has to be about LotR
Okay, have fun making your poems!

Is it alright if they are just related to a theme in LotR?

I'll be gone from Sunday to Sunday, so if you enter this contest, just make sure that no more than 9 people enter. If you ask for a spot to be saved, that's still okay.

I'll enter! I have a poem, I'm afraid it isn't very good, but it's worth a shot!
Shieldmaiden No More
Grave and thoughtful your glance
Stern as steel, a daughter of kings.
In your white robe girt with silver
You stand still as the storm gathers…
You leave to find death in arms
And in death, valor at last
Hope left you barren and broken
Empty, alone, withered by frost.
Now when there is life unlooked-for
Turn away from the Shadow
Éowyn, Éowyn, I do not believe
That this darkness will endure.

Earspliting
I hear them scream I panic,
They're dressed in black,
They ride black horses of Mordor,
I look I see them and run,
they hunt me and hunt me,
they're scream is unmistakable,
they hunt me they hunt the bearer,
ever smelling nver seeing senseing
the ring, they walk or ride,
they encircle and ensnare,
they find and destroy,
they are the ringwraiths, the Nazgul,
they're neither living nor dead,
they will hunt you until end of days,
they known as black riders or wights on wings.

Nice poem, Mirelenasilmeriel! I really like it.
And all the spots are saved so we have I think 3 spots left.
I have one other things to ask. I have a fan poetry section on my website. Please let me know if you would like your poem to go on my site. You don't have to PM me, just tell me on here. Thanks! It would really help out my site.
