The team of agents circled the forest, looking for any sign that might lead them closer to the artifact. They were in the forest for a long time before finding in a remote location, a hut. There was only one in the middle of a clearing in the forest. All of them moved closer towards it and were outside the door.
"You guys think this is it?" Mia said, asking the other's their opinion.

The smile that lit her fair face greeted this mortal man. The divinity she once grasped soon left to take his hand.

"Only one way to find out.." Kali said, starting to walk towards the door. Suddenly shots came from the right of them. Kali ducked down, and went around to the left side of the hut. She pulled out her gun and shot out from the left side of the hut. Once the shooters came closer, she saw them to be Anna and Peter, they had two other teammates with them. Kali slid down so she was crouching against the left side of the hut. She looked out to see where Anna and Peter were, but just as she did they shot at her. She shot back before she felt a gun to her head. She pushed the gun away before she looked up at the figure above her.
"Julian." She said, standing up.
"How did you-" He began to ask.
"I just did. The artifact, it's inside the hut." She said. Once Sark left, Kali looked out from the hut again. She saw no sign of Anna or Peter, but she could still hear gunshots. When she looked out, one of Anna and Peter's teammates shot at her. She suddenly walked out into the open, raising her gun, and she shot the SG agent in the head. She was about to walk into the hut until Anna and her saw each other. Kali shot at her and Anna shot back. Kali retreated back into the forest, as did Anna. Meanwhile, Sydney and Kiminu spotted each other as did Peter and Carly. Mia and Sark, however, went to find a way to get into the hut.

Sydney saw Anna and Kali go for each other as Carly and Peter did the same. She grinned, that left Kiminu for her. She took out her gun and shot at him hitting the tree right above where his head had been. He cursed and looked for his shooter. Upon spotting her, he shot back.

Kali shot at Anna when she noticed where her position was. Anna shot back at her, and suddenly disappeared. Kali walked towards where Anna had been, until she heard Anna behind her. She spun around, and Anna kicked her gun out of her hand. Kali grabbed her and threw her down, throwing her gun into the forest. Anna rolled over on top of her and punched her, grabbing Kali's gun. But she didn't fire, it was as if she was about to start talking to Kali.
"I know who you're really working for. I've got to say, you even had me fooled." She said.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Kali said, staring at her from the ground. Anna gave her a sarcastic smile.

The fight was now in going into the forest and Mia had a chance to get inside the hut. There was no specific spot where someone could walk into. There must have been a lever somewhere--something to open a trap door. Mia caught something on her foot and fell to the ground. As she looked up a small hole was cleared from the huts wall.
"Oh, that worked," she mumbled to herself.
She walked over to the hole and cralwed inside. It was pitch black inside. Mia had to feel her way around, then she felt something hard and metal. Not knowing what it was, she recoiled at first, then decided it might be the artifact. As she picked it up, she suddenly felt the ground beneath her tremble. Mia gripped for the edge of the hut wall, still holding onto the what she believed to be the artifact, as the floor of the hut crumbled down into a giant well. Mia grabbed the sides of the hole in the wall and lifted herself up to the ground.
She had not been expecting anyone to notice where she was because of all the fighting going on. She still heard gun shots, but she was wrong. Hearing someone coming up behind her, she spun around and there stood Sark, holding a gun to her face.
Mia looked at him and said, "Fancy meeting you here."

"As much as I would enjoy a chat..I regret to inform you that I have little time for such things." Sark paused.
"Put the artifact down, if you will." He said.

"You didn't think you'd get it that easy, did you?"
Mia moved to her left and Sark's hand that held the gun followed her.

"I believe you might have forgotten the simple fact that I am the one holding a gun to your head." Sark said, watching her intently.

"That's not really something that you can forget easily," she said. Then she kicked the gun out of Sark's hand and it fell the the ground. She tried to punch him but it was more difficult then she'd imagined with the big metal object in her other hand.

Sark pulled away from the punch that Mia directed at him, before he pushed her towards the back of the hole in the hut, making her nearly fall through the giant well in the ground. She grabbed ahold of the edges of the hole in the hut wall, as Sark picked back up his gun. Once Mia gained her balance back they were at square one again, with Sark pointing the gun at her.
"Don't move. Get on the ground. On the ground, now." Sark said, pointing the gun at her. Mia slowly went to the ground, with the artifact still in her hand.
"Slide the artifact over." Sark said.

Mia really didn't have a choice in the matter. Sark had won.
She grit her teeth and slid the artifact over to Sark's feet. As he picked it up he made a sneer remark along with a grin, "It has been a pleasure"

Anna looked at Kali.
"Sure you don't." Anna said.
"I really never would have guessed you to be working with The Mercenaries, let alone Mr. Sark." Anna said. Kali could only stare back at her, she didn't know what to say. She wondered how Anna knew in the first place.

Mia was still on the ground and Sark raised his gun to her, and she was ready to roll over on her back when she heard shots that hadn't come from Sark's gun.
Carly was shooting at him. He shot back, forgetting about Mia, and ran off away from the hut--with the artifact. Thank God, Mia thought to herself.
She got up off the ground and took out her gun incase she might need it again. Carly ran up to her and she said, "Did he get away?"
"Looks like it," Carly said.
"Wonderful," Mia said. "He's got the artifact."

"Ever since I saw you kill your own teammate, I've been wondering...how long has agent Renie been a bad guy?" Anna said, smiling at her. Suddenly, Anna looked as if an idea had come to her mind.
"No...that couldn't possibly be it. You and Sark?" She said. Kali immediately kicked the gun out of her hand from the ground and grabbed both of Anna's hands and rolled over on top of her. She punched her in the face and Anna threw her off of her. Anna then heard the rest of the APO agents coming and she managed to escape. Kali sighed. She didn't know what Anna would do with this information, but she didn't like the idea that she knew.

Kali and the rest of the APO agents met up, and Mia told them what happened. Sydney, meanwhile, wished she would have been able to watch Kali..but since Mia said Sark had been around her, she began to think less that Kali actually was the mole. But there was still, that nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach. She just wished that she wasn't right though.

L.A.
The agents were back at APO and Mia had to summerize the entire mission again, this time to Jack. She was tired of admitting that she had to be saved. If I had had my gun out... Mia kept thinking to herself. After awhile she let it go and headed for home.

Kali went back to her house, it was already very late in the day, after three missions. She pulled off her clothes and got into the shower. A little while later she turned off the water and got out. She put on some clothes, and brushed her wet hair out. She didn't bother drying it, it always dried in the same position on its own, even if she brushed it or not.

The next morning she got up and got ready for 'work', if she were to even call it work. They all thought she was working for them and helping them, when truly she did nothing of the sort.

APO Headquarters
The day was the same as always, as Kali entered the office. People were walking around, doing work, talking to one another. And all the field-agents were waiting for the debriefing to begin, as they sat around. Talk about excitement..
