Karn nodded and pulled her out jogging down the street, forcing the woman to run to keep up with him. They reached the stables where a guard slept. Karn couldn't take any chances and slit his throat, the man woke and tried to scream but no words came out, just blood. Karn grinned and threw Maihele on the nearest horse, then quickly attached a rope to the reigns so he could lead it.
He mounted his own horse and charged it out of the stables toward the main gate out of the city. At the time a convoy of trailers were entering the city, so the gates were open. He raced out leading the second horse out onto the plains. He heard calls coming from the city walls and arrows began to fly out, one hitting Karn in the leg. He hissed in pain but pressed on leading the horse to the nearest clump of trees.
As soon as they reached it he slowly jumped off, growling in pain, and limped over to the woman pulling her off and throwing her on the floor. He sat down oposite her and eyed up the arrow. He began pulling it out slowly and hissing in pain, it was well imbedded and would be difficult to pull out.
"... Well be gratefull, I took an arrow for you..."
He hissed again.

Maihele stared in shock as he slit the gaurds throat, though she could do nothing about it. She despised killing. It reminded her of him, of how he forced tasks upon her, with no remorse to the feelings and emotions which dwelt within her. But even now her expression stayed frozen, her eyes cold as though it were a common sight to her, and it was indeed, all too common, and she was growing sick of it...

Desperate to keep her balance, Maihele shifted her position on the horse's back, until they reached the trees and she was roughly pulled to the ground. Agilely, she rolled to a sitting position, though she winced as the effort crushed and strained her bound wrists.
"I could have taken it just as easily," she hissed in a bitter tone, her gaze straying to observe their suroundings, before she finally looked at Karn then at the arrow in his leg.

"If you untie me I can pull that out for you," she murmured calmly, her expression dull, not revealing anything obvious.
"Or at least tie my hands in front of me," she offered on second thought. "it would still make it harder for me to escape..."
Her eyes watched him closely, each expression, each movement, each grimace, until she turned the glance aside to again search their surroundings.

Firbrar had followed, she could feel it, but where he was now, she did not know, yet she could not let her gaurd down, for there would always be a chance...

Karn looked up at her while he tried himself to pull it free.
"You couldn't pull this out, you can try if you insist."
He limped over to her and drew his dagger, slicing the rope around her wrists freeing her hands. He sat down with a thud and held the dagger to her throat.
"But I asure you that if you try anything I will kill you."

"About that you do not have to worry about anymore or about her..."

Neracelc said as he walked into sight with his bow ready to shoot at either of them.

(Sorry guys, I was down with a virus for a couple days...)

Maihele swallowed hesitantly as the dagger was held to her throat, but she reached towards the imbedded arrow, and with practiced skill, she pushed the arrow through the the opposite side of Karn's leg with a quick thrust, knowing if it could not be pulled out, it would have to be pushed out.
She then snapped the fletching half of the shaft and tossed it aside, and just as she finished pulling the head half of the shaft through and out, she cringed slightly at a second voice beside them, but dared not move, as the dagger was still held to her throat.

Maihele's hand still gripped the bloodied arrow half, while her eyes, from beneath shadowing strands of raven black hair, observed the newcomer as well as the situation at hand.

"Mind moving your dagger away without harming her that I can take her into custody unharmed? Bounties are bigger that way for what my exprience tells me..."

Neracelc said taking few steps forward and kept the bow up.

Karn grimaced as the arrow was pushed out. He pulled the woman closer to him holding the dagger in front of her throat.
"Well sir we meet again. Put your weapons down, she's mine."
He stared the other assasin down.

"Yours? You are wounded and I can wait right here for you to die. Just give her to me and I will help you, how about we do that?"

Neracelc suggested as he stepped closer

Maihele's eyes closed as she listened to their voices debating over her, her senses informing her of each movement, each reaction, her mind envisioning each possibility of the situation. Just one slip, one simple slip of the knife and it would be over, the worry, the fear, the doubt, all kept inside and silent, would be gone.
Slowly she pushed aside the thoughts before finally opening her dark eyes to watch the man inch closer to them, his appearance rather strange, though some may say the same of her.

"Let a lady choose her own way," she muttered bitterly, while remaining perfectly still, even though her mind was working through what to do next, then suddenly she smirked. "You'll not kill me, Karn... the noble man you speak of who wishes me... alive... if your word is gone against, shall not hesitate to take your life." She then addressed the second assassin, her tone low and calm. "He bluffs, you have no fear of him killing me... go on, take him on, he'll not harm me for the life of him..."

Karn had lost his barganing position. The other assasin knew he would do nothing. He looked around desperatly and eventually sighed, letting his grip loosen.
"Take her..." He muttered.
He had lost his bounty for sure and the nobleman would surely try and track him down now. He wasn't so worried about that, more worried about his ego, his first taste of failure since his re-birth.

Neracelc smiled and stepped forward grabbing Maihele, he tied her up and kept his scimitar ready. Then he dragged her along to his horse, but before that he looked at in the eyes.

"I must warn you, if you try to escape I won`t kill you. I will simply chase you down like a dog and I`ll enjoy every second of the chase so for your sake I hope you know what is best for you..."

As Naracelc retied her, she secretly held the bit of bloodied arrow lengthwise between both her arms, heedless to the sharp edge cutting her flesh. When the assassin held her gaze she watched his eyes in a dull manner, only half paying attention to his words.
"You may try to keep me if you wish, but you won't get far and if I do not escape, he will do what he must to again take me, and if you're in the way, he won't hesitate to dispose of you..." she murmured dryly, glancing aside.

She turned her gaze towards Karn, her words quiet though matter of fact in manner. "Karn... I hope you'll realize I did nothing to those people... and that ultimately, by letting this man take me, I have saved your life... for you can easily hide from the nobleman, but with me Firbrar would have come... now make it worth my while and change your ways before it all catches up with you."

Finishing these words, she turned towards the second assassin and nodded her head slightly, strands of raven black hair drifting into her face, a sort of sly smile crossing her pallid features. "Let's go... I don't quite fancy being here for too long..."

Karn sighed and watched his prize leaving him. He was unemployed now and severaly injured.
He glanced at his leg and rip off part of his tunic, tying it round the wound, grunting slightly.
"Don't worry Maihele, I'll pay you pack when I'm able to."
He gave a small smile and leaned his head back, wishing his leg would heal quicker.

"Splendid and off we go!"

Neracelc said before hitting Maihele unconscious with his swords holding and and throwing her on the horse, just in case he tied her to the horse and jumped onto the horse himself. He looked at Karn and sort waved his hand as a goodbye.

"Until we meet again... if we meet again.."

Neracelc said and rode off backtowards Minas Tirith.

(Poor Maihele's brains are going to be scrambled.... )

Maihele dared not move as she awoke in a short amount of time, never one to stay long under unconciousness for long. From the shadow upon the ground cast by the horse and sun, Maihele could tell which direction she was headed but she didn't quite like where it was; towards Minas Tirith. Carefully and quietly she shifted her wrists so that the arrow she had held would tear slowly at the rope, the side which was held against her.

The bonds holding her to the horse were what worried her the most in her plans, but she was more at ease when her hands were unbound. With some effort, she gave a sudden jolt, shifting as much as possible so she was nearly hanging on the side of the horse, while at the same time she rammed her knee into the horse's girth, causing the steed to surge forward and hopefully catching the rider off gaurd.

With that, she brought her free hand to grab a dagger from the assasins boot in one swift motion and sliced the ropes which held her, thus releasing her to come crashing against the ground hard, though she rolled swiftly and came to her feet, taking off at a dead run towards where they had left Karn behind. She would go no where without her weapons, and the horse Karn had may come to use, that was if she could escape from Naracelc...

Karn sighed and took a nearby stick, begining to sharpen it with his lone dagger. It soon made a point in the end, which Karn in a short burst of anger threw into the ground.
He rose up slowly and limped over to his horse finding the sack. She forgot her things. Her bow and dagger. He smiled, she would be returning certainly the fuss she caused when trying to escape the city. He lead the horse to his original seat and tied the reigns to the tree he leaned against. He took the weapons and sat down examining them closely.
"Can't see what's so good about these. I'll take her to my weapon's stash, show her some real weapons."
He smiled and lay them to one side.
