Neracelc turned around his horse after realising what had happened and rode back towards her, he stopped someway from her and drew his scimitar. He spinned it around in his hand and looked at Maihele quietly.

"I warned you"

Then he rallied the horse to a gallop towards Maihele.

(Sorry guys, had trouble with my account... )

Maihele jumped aside from the horse and scimitar, using the dagger to slice the girth and breast collar of the saddle as they went past (I'm guessing you use one, but if you don't, I can change this around) thus causing both rider and saddle to fall to the ground. Maihele gave a yell to spook the horse, then turned, continuing in the direction in which she had been headed without another glance behind to see if the assassin would follow on foot.

Neracelc layed on his back inmovable, he smirked and got up looking at Maihele.

"This didn`t turn out to be so boring as I thought..."

Neracelc put his scimitar on his belt and drew his bow before running after Maihele.

Maihele glanced behind her shoulder and frowned briefly, but had better sense than to waste her time fearing something that might happen when she could use the time to prevent it. Suddenly through the air whistled an arrow from the forest ahead, aimed not to hit, but to warn, yet not towards Maihele, towards Naracelc.

Firbrar sniggered darkly from where he stood in the shadows. His aim could easily have been place properly, but he was merely making this a game, all pleasing to him, as he was seated upon his horse, a quiet humming adding to his obvious amusement.

Maihele glanced sharply towards the source of the arrow before she delved into the forest, knowing well what it meant, and she didn't wish to be unarmed. It was not long before she came upon Karn, her eyes swiftly seeking out her weapons.
"If you'll excuse me, I need these," she muttered quickly, snatching the two black, silver entwined sais, and the bow of like color.
"And the horse," she added as she pulled the reins, leapt on and urged it forward cautiously, but not at a quick pace.

Karn let her take them but got to his feet and slowly limped after her when he caught sight of someone on a horse. He raised a brow at the figure. Not the assasin, someone else. He stoped at a tree drawing his dagger and watching him.

Maihele stopped the horse and turned it slightly as she glanced back towards Karn, noticing his interest in the shadowed figure, the figure who now also paused upon his steed and watched from the distance.
"Do not pay heed to it... he will leave when I leave and I advise that you keep your distance," she murmured in a low tone, her features shadowed as she pulled her hood over.

"If you are interested," she continued quietly, a glint in her dark eyes, "He is the true cause of the sorrow of the families and the anger of the nobleman. You may choose to not believe me, but that will be no different from all the rest." She shook her head slightly, as though in frustration to the situation, but turned again to urge the horse forward silently.

Karn looked into her eyes and saw truth. He limped quickly after the horse and grabbed the reins.
"I believe you. If you were the ultimate killer you would have escaped from me."
He looked into her eyes showing his sincerity.
"Seeing as I am a free agent how about I help you? I'm willing to do it for free."

Maihele stared at him for a moment, as though she could not believe his word, her slender hands gripping the reins firmly and tensely. With a vigorous shake of her head, she yank back on the reins, pulling it from Karn's grasp and backing the horse at the same time.

"Nay, I cannot let you help me... for one, you may be skilled but he is sly, and it is I who knows his ways... for another, you will ultimately be killed... either by Firbrar himself or those who would come to believe you are in on the killings..."

"Besides," she added in more of a cold tone, her eyes visibly narrowed beneath the hood. "I cannot find trust in you... you are just as bad as he, with your heartless killing... you showed no remorse for those you murdered in Minas Tirith"

Karn looked her sternly in the eyes.
"I offer you my services in debt of my crimes. If I am killed so be it, I welcome death."
He looked behind him then back at the woman.
"I can help you defeat him then afterwards you can do with me as you see fit. I shall not fight your judgement."

Maihele hesitated, clenching her jaw in defiance until finally she released a heavy sigh, glancing towards the lingering rider in the distance. "Why must you be so persistant?! You're foolish to welcome death, but who am I to argue, if your own will allows it?" She remained silent for a moment, as though inwardly debating.

Her thoughts, however, were interupted when the sound of crashing was heard and snarling, one glance telling her instantly what it was. With a slight cry of anger, she urged her horse forwards towards Karn.
"His hounds! His hounds are set loose! Swiftly now!" Without further word, she bent down and used the speed of her horse to grab him and half pull him up with surprising strength, trusting him to do the rest in getting settled behind her on the horse.

With a hefty kick against the sides of the horse from Maihele's booted feet, they surged forward, the snarling and snapping of jaws sounding out behind them in fierce pursuit, as four large and lanky black hounds held on their trail.

Karn sat on the horse with a grunt and spun his head around to see large hounds chasing after them. He grabbed his dagger and threw it at one of the hounds, hitting the foul beast in the head, killing it instantly.
"As soon as we stop I'll give you my reasons."

Neracelc rushed into intercep the two with an arrow that he shot towards them, the hounds wouldn`t be a problem if they fell all tough they might harm them slightly, which wasn`t really a concern

The horse they were upon reared, whinnying in a terrified manner as they were intercepted by Narcelc, while the hounds took the opportunity to close the distance, one leaping forward to land and grip to the hindquarter's of the steed, causing the horse to become more frantic in its attempts to escape.

As Maihele struggled to control the horse, the arrow grazed her right arm, slicing deeply. Having not in the least been prepared for the sting of the arrow, she let the right rein slip from her grasp, gritting her teeth and groping for the strap again as it dropped forward and the horse bolted wildly.

Still the hounds remained on their trail, yet when in front of them loomed a fallen tree of large girth, the steed skidded in attempt to check his own pace, losing his riders from the jolt before careening into the tree disasterously in its mad rush.

The hounds were on the floundering horse in an instant, though they lost interest quickly when they discovered their prey was on the ground not far from the steed. Swiftly the three black lanky creatures surrounded the two people, one diving after Karn, the other after Maihele, while the third seemed to merely stand guard, snarling in a threatening manner.

Maihele struggled to her feet, unsheathing one of the dark sais, determined to stand her ground as blood from the arrow slice slipped down to come over her hand, her hood dropped back while a glint as fierce and wild as that of the hounds lit in her eyes.

(Apologies for the long post, but I couldn't help it :D I'm addicted to detail... )

Neracelc took another arrow as he ran towards them, at least the advantage of the horse was eliminated and he could reach them more easily not to mention there was no escape. Neracelc shot again this time at the hound that was on guard, the arrow sank into its neck and the hound fell to the ground as Neracelc drew his scimitar while he ran at them all.
