Well, I am one of those people who hates to reveal anything they have written. But all the other writers are so good, I have been inspired to try my hand at a bit of poetry. Don't laugh!

Prodigal Daughter

Waiting for life to start
Hoping she has a future
Out there

The world beckons
She follows her heart
Deceived

Who can she trust?
People change, friends fail
Dispairing

Then a gentle breeze
A familiar voice
"Trust Me"

Is this just history
Repeating itself?
First step

Tumbling down
Strong, unfailing arms
Catching her

Peering into that Face
Eyes full of tears and love
"I missed you"

I know wut u mean by not wanting to show ur work, b/c I'm the same way. but a couple of my friends write poetry, which has also inspired me to write. But anway, I really liked it!!! I love the way it ends with, "I missed you." I expected it to keep going, but then i realized it ended.....I liked that. I also liked how the 3rd line in each stanza was only a couple words. that's really cool. Keep writing, & keep sharing!!!
