He fires a few more shots at the replicators then falls back still firing, grabbing ahold of the other man and advancing backwards. "CLOSE THE DOOR!"

Carter drew her sidearm and began firing methodically, shot after shot after shot, as the replicators found their way into the control room. They only had to hold them off until one single bug took the offered bait on the mainframe and spread the information, lightning-like, among the other replicators. How long would it take? Not long, she hoped, or they had no other option but the EMP.
"The vent, sir!"
Frank stepped into range and sprayed the vent with gunfire. The clicking machines kept coming. "Hold them! I repeat, hold them back!"

Galen stood beside the group fiering away with a P90 in one hand and his hand gun in another.

The alert on Carter's computer beeped. Occupied with firing with her right hand and bracing her wrist with her left, she threw a quick glance over her shoulder at the screen. The bait had been taken.
She didn't notice the two replicators until they were almost at her feet. Springing up onto a console, the major shot put two bullets into one from her Beretta. That was it - the clip was empty. The second replicator launched itself after her. Spinning into a fluid sidekick, she caught it full on with her boot in midair. It dropped to the ground - and didn't get up again.
Carter looked around the control room. Some were still twitching faintly, but, for the most part, the replicators had frozen.

As the replicators froze in place, John let out a sigh in relief then kicked one of them. "Nasty little *beep*! i hope to never see one of those things again..." he relaxes his muscles a bit then looks at the others smiling, then laughing. "That was... exciting..."
