Well, FullMetal Alchemist takes place in it's own "Alchemy" world. But IT IS parallel to our real world, and from the end of the series, and the plot of the movie, we assume that the FullMetal Alchemist world is parallel to Germany, yes.


Oh wait.... hold on.

When Ed first comes across the gate and into our world, Ed is in Great Britain...

But at the end of the series when he crosses over again, pulling his body through --- we see him in Germany. It's possible that FMA is just basically parallel to Europe.

If we focus on the events in the FMA world and compare it to historic events, we can see the comparisons between the FMA world and Germany during World War II. The military rounds up Ishbalans, treats them horribly and even massacres them. The military using actual people to experiment on alchemy and to create the perfect 'chimera'... also similar to the Nazi doctor experiments on Jews to create the perfect 'Aryan'.

I don't think any question about FMA is stupid because the plot is so complicated.

Speaking of the Episodes..here, I did a Voice acting job as an english voice of Edward Elric in one of the japanese episodes (I'm reading the subtitles that pop up on the screen).
