Haldir grinned breifly at Meleth. "Nice shot," he said before rounding on a few Orcs gaining on them. "Swords!" he said quickly and automatically sheathed his bow. He pulled out his sword and swiped at the closest Orc's belly.

Meleth unsheathed her twin knives and stood at the ready, her hands moving almost faster than sight.

Haldir slew another Orc and looked around. "Luthien!" he called. "Where's Luthien?!"

Miriel ran after Haldir into the fight. Soon she couldn't see the others, only her sword, blood and the orcs.

Haldir turned around just in time to see Elegost disappear into the darkness. "Elegost!" he called.

He turned around and whipped the head off of a nearby Orc with his sharp blade. He looked on at the increasing number of Orcs and wondered where they were all coming from.

Meleth cut through the seemingly endless ranks like a scyth until her arms ached and she was covered in dirt and blood. She couldn't see any of the others and the orcs were starting to close in.

[[Okay, should we do Meleth and Luth then, if nobody minds...?]]

Luth waited a moment too long to draw her sword, and the orcs quickly surrounded her. She stabbed at one, then spun to slash another, but found herself caught by two muscular black arms. Her sword was wrenched from her hand, and she cried out, "Elbereth!", before a hood covered her head and she was hoisted, kicking and screaming, onto a burly shoulder.

"Luthien!" Lothwen cried out. She desperately shot another arrow at an approaching orc and ran to Luthien's aid, but she came too late. Another orc grabbed her, pulled a black cloak over her head and pulled her along in the same direcion (so Lothwen supposed) as Luthien.

Beriadan caught a glimpse of Luthien through the hordes and tried to move toward her. He gave a roar of frustration and retreated, ducking down behind a large rock so that he would be able to escape the same fate as her. He looked wildly around for any of the others.

Meleth was gasping for breath and had barely escaped losing an appendage three or four times. "Beriadan! Elegost!" she yelled at the top of her voice, and called for the others, but it was drowned out in the deafening noises of the orc horde.

Miriel slew another Orc, but the worry in her heart increased. She couldn't find any other of her friends. Her sword fell out of her hands but miriel quickly dived away from the Orc's sword and swiflty took her dagger and stabbed the Orc. She felt aching pain in her shoulder while she picked up her sword again. Making pace to the darkness for she realised she couldn't win this fight.

Meleth caught a glimpse of Miriel and savagely cut a path toward her. "Mae govannen, mellon nin!" she gasped. "We need to get out of here!"

"Meleth, mellon nin!" exclaimed Miriel relieved. "Where are the others?" She couldn't wait for reply for an Orc tried to intervene. Miriel quickly sliced off his head but again felt a sharp pain in her shoulder. She looked at her sleeve which was covered with blood. "We need to get out of here.. we can not hold longer"

Meleth had a gash across her cheekbone and several small cuts and bruises. She looked exhausted and sick with worry. "I haven't seen them. I was with Elegost earlier but I've no idea where he is now." She turned to swing her knives and gasped as an orc slashed at her side. Even drawing breath was painful. She saw an opening and caught Miriel's hand, pulling her forward.
