GET ON-TOPIC.
If we're confused about what the topic is.
Something obviously that crosses to being a lady. And what you see nowadays would be acceptable for a 'lady' and compare it to the days in the past.
i can fix that!
nowadays a lady can cry about such a hot pirate dying, then, a lady couldn't cry over a pirate's death, nor could she think him hot.

Maybe we should make a list of things we can discuss here... It's almost impossible to stay on topic with a club like this one!
Anyway, I'll do my best...

lol... i.e. me. (I cried, no wailed, when I saw DMC )
It would have been so hard for someone who lived back god-knows-how-long-ago... with great expectations of a respectable woman in society... with concepts such as accomplishments (a respectable woman had to have the ability to sing, play the piano exceedingly well, embroider, read a lot of the time, talk several languages, etc.).
The extremely wealthy basically were the only women who had the education to be accomplished.
Embroidering?!?! Yeah, right. I wouldn't have any fingers left if I tried.
And no swooning over hot pirates?!
The expression says it all.

I've missed a bunch, I believe >.<
Just wanted to say: I don't believe the guys are very much on-topic either. I mean... this is a girliegirls' club. Can't we talk about anything we like? The guys do.
And then to the reason why I got on here at all:
I'm wanting to change my codename to "The Piratey A-U Gentlewoman" or possibly "The Pirate-obsessing A-U Gentlewoman". How's that? Is it taken, by the way? All who are for, say Aye!

So what IS our club really supposed to be about? The front page said that its:
This club is ONLY for our A-U s to talk and to giggle in
So that's how I've been treating it. What are we really?
I'll b bak late in the afternoon again. I'm off to VBS. Talk to u all later!

I thought this was just a club for girls to talk about... anything. So, what are we supposed to talk about now?

I don't know. Apparently, what we're supposed to be talking about.
So...anyone got a conversation starter?

And what of the ladies who don't swoon and obsess over pirates? Shan't they be able to join as well?
Here's one. If anyone has ever seen or read Pride and Prejudice or Sense and Sensibilty by Jane Austen, how do you compare and contrast those ladies and their stature in society compared to your own or of an average woman in society these days?
Now I want this conversation going on for at least 3-4 pages.

Sorry, Kit. I haven't seen those movies. (Though a lot of people told me I should see them. )
Gwenneth wrote: Anything girlish -- ummm, shopping? Who's obssessed with shopping?
I like shopping, but I'm not obsessed with it. Some of my friends like to buy shoes, but I don't see the fun of that. Shoes are boring. I like to buy small useless things, books, music and movies.

Well, I like to go secondhand store shopping, it's fun! There's a really cool place called "The Antique Mall" they have the coolest stuff and it's really cheap! I bought 3 chairs there! Ha! It's so awesome! Oh and I also got salt and pepper shakers there....it's so much fun. Oh, and then we have a used/new clothes store called "Crazy Daisy" I love it, they have the most ridiculous clothes from the 70's and 80's all the ugly stuff you would never wear....but occasionally you can find stuff there to wear! It's awesome!
I'm not completely obcessed with shopping due to the fact I'm a poor University student....no money...*sigh*
