I know this is a bit obscure, but has anyone read Mara, Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis Mcgraw? It's one of my VERY favorite books, I can read it over and over again and not get bored. Or have you read anything else by that author?

I read it for school too! And I thought it was going to be so boring, and then I couldn't put it down. My mom thought I was weird for getting into a school book like that but I really loved it.

This was the first book ever assigned in school that I liked. It was our first on the book list for seventh grade, so it's been a while, but I know I loved it! The ending had my heart beating a mile a minute...:P

I know! I read it all straight through and I ws so disappointed when it was over that I read it all over again. The ending is totally the best part.

*Gasp* That practically made me scream...but I really liked the scene afterwards in the courtyard, until it went bad and then I was like OH MY GOODNESS WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO! Because it seemed like such a shame that everything was perfect and then it wasn't. Boy, I'm reliving it now.
