Portia looked to the pub's owner and bit her lip. She then looked from Devina to Jack. "I'm taking a twenty, mate." She told him and then slowly walked past Devina and Jack, to get out the door.

Portia swallowed hard and started heading to the docks of Tortuga. She always went there to think. She bit her lip and wrapped her arms around herself. She couldn't believe that she met two of her old friends in the same day, at the same time.

Jack straightened his bent knees and watched Devina, "Uh, well, nice seein' ye again missy!"
He wiped the fake grin off his face, rolled his eyes and grumbled nasty things against that dame as he started making his way off into the 'opposite' direction.

Portia quickly turned around and faced Devina. She opened her mouth to speak and then closed it. She did this several times, until she shut her mouth completely. She looked quite comical doing so. She sighed and watched Devina closely. "I'm... doin' awful." She looked down to the ground.

"Why? I thought you got on mightily well after... After last time we met." Jones seemed to be getting uncomfatable under the scrutinty of Portias gaze. She shifted her weight and studied her face with equal carefulness.

Portia looked down to the ground and shook her head. "No... Jack and I fought more than e'er when ye left. So, I left his crew. I think that was tha biggest mistake of me life." She told her, softly. She swallowed hard and bit her lip.

Devina grunted, and inspected the various belts around her waist. Finaly she drew out a small box. A compass.
"Well... If you see him again... Tell him, I still have this, savvy?"
She snapped it open and shut for a while, watching the needle spin.
As quickly as it had appeared, it disapeared into the leather again. She shrugged "That is, if he wants it back... I'll be off then... Nice meeting you..."

"Good luck for the future!"she called out, and look again for a moment that she was going to throw the compass after her, as if desperate to be rid of it.
Truth be told, the way it spun drove her crazy, she knew what she want- or at least she thought she did. But still...
