I think it was kinda like LOTR, but it was a seperate story. It was original enough, but had stuff that I felt familiar with. I liked it!

Yeah true. I think Sapphira the Dragon was my favorite character in the book

thanks gals! I almost wrote "guys" but then changed it to "gals" when I remembered the title of this thread.
and, Haldir, I agree with you. I liked Eragon, but I kept trying to find everything that was similar to LOTR to get mad.

I liked Eragon and Murtagh the best. it's been forever since I've read Eragon and Eldest, but the story's very memorable. however some things (Arya... Arwen) remind me too much of LotR

Yeah that's true it is really annoying how they do that in the book. It seems so much like Eragon. But it does have a lot of things that make it's own series too so it's still a good book.

Argh! You did it again! I left for an hour and five pages got posted!
I thought Eldest was really long, almsot unwieldy, and the parts with Roran were boring. I also was not impressed with the ending. I was pretty disappointed.
Is the Eragon trailer out yet?
