Portia felt nothing and didn't hear anything that was going on around her. Since she was, in fact, unconscience. She then felt air being forced into her lung, which caused her to cough and sputter out salt water through her mouth.
She leaned over onto her side and spit out all the water that was in her mouth. She gasped for air, but nothing was coming. She held onto her chest and tried to calm her heartbeat down, but it didn't work.

Jack stopped immediately after he heard the gasp for air. His hands rose up away from her body and he waited, not exactly knowing what was going on...

Will jumped back as she rolled over onto her side. He breathed a sigh of relief to himself. Leaning over Portia with one hand on her shoulder he asked, "Are you all right? ............Portia.........Oh my God! She can't breathe! What do we do? HELP!" Will once again was scared to death.

Portia's eyes were wide and her heart was pounding so hard, she feared it would come up her throat. She gasped and choked, trying to find some source of air. She stayed on her side and then finally found it. She took deep breaths and stared up at the sky. Her chest rose and fell quickly.

Jack remained frozen in the position he had last been in. His hands lifted at his sides as if he were going to play an invisible piano.
He sat for a moment, listening to her breaths and muttered, "Well, is she alive or not?"

Will almost passed out. He sat against a mossy tree stump and breathed heavily. "No, she's alive. She's all right," Will closed his eyes and placed a hand over his heart.

Jack relaxed his nerves and plopped his hands down back to his sides. "No worries then..." He then moved away from where he thought Portia was, sat, and rested his arms on his bent knees.

Portia's heart beat calmed and swallowed hard. She slowly sat up and started coughing up a storm. She placed her hand over her chest and had a pained look on her face.

Portia looked to both of the men and nodded. She did as both of them said. She coughed the rest up and then took the breaths like Gibbs said. She was starting to feel a little better than before.
