Lorwen took a seat by her family and smiled hearing her mother go on and on about how wonderful the food would be. "Mother," she interrupted, " I am hungry already. I dare say if you keep this talk up then I shall start eating my napkin." Her statement had it's desired affect. The look of horror on her mothers face was well worth the lecture that came with it.

Lothwen sighed and swept her medium-length brown-red-gold hair out of her eyes in a gracefull move. It had been another long day's journey, but it had paid off. She had finally arrived in the forest of Mirkwood. Lothwen scanned the forest, fingering her knife, Sigil Elgûl warily. The elves were saying that something dark was beginning to haunt Mirkwood, near the dreaded fortress of Dol Guldor. Lothwen could sense it: the forest had a sense of caution and fear about its trees. Suddenly, a movement caught her attention. Another elf had appeard in the trees. She had light brown hair and gleaming silver eyes. Smiling, Lothwen greeted her with a common elvish saying: "Mae Govannen, melon. What is your name?"
