i saw that too
it could've been left in
it would have helpd eowyn's charactor
people would've seen her as more than a girl who cries alot
they would understand that she is strong and not afraid to fight
iwish that there was a dvd with all the deleted scenes and abandoned concepts

They should have put that scene in there...oh well, maybe it'll be on the rumored super, super EE that's supposed to come out, don't know when though.

Telpeath wrote: Yes, however, it would have been great to see some battle scenes with her. I state this because it would have supported her role in the 3rd movie. In the third movie she fights the witch-king. Where does she gain this skill? Dont know. Thus the battle scene in the 2nd movie would have been great to see
I don't think she really used much skill in fighting the witch-king. It was more of a "I can't do this, but I can't run either," thing, but that's just kinda my opinion.

Night, I believe the Witch King and Eowyn scene was more showing Eowyn's courage and loyalty rather than skill, which, in itself, is a lot.
Ashwise, super super EE?

There's a rumoured super-super EE?! How many editions do they need! They already have the Theatrical... which I bought! The Extended... which I also bought. And the Limited, which I was also fooled into buying! (love it though )
*faint*

Extended and Theatrical both put into one DVD. It came out like... a year or two ago. The case is really thin and compact. There's obviously extra commentaries that we've never before seen on the other versions, but it's really costly... like double the cost of the Extendeds.

Oh.. and it doesn't sound like it is worth having if you already have Extendeds and Theatreticals.

Lol yeah it's not... but I got tempted because there was extra Haldir in the FotR commentaries

Yeah, that's kinda what I meant.
She's not gonna run, it wasn't really an option. So the only thing to do is fight, and that showed her courage.

I think Eowyn (in the movie) was not strong enough as a character and if she had been, the loss of her fighting scenes would not be so deep. Even Miranda agreed that there was too much crying from Eowyn. I don't think Eowyn cried at all in the books.

I have been looking for that clip over and over again! It is so unfair that they show Eowyn all getting ready to fight in the pictures and then leave her out of it in the movies!!

I have not seen pictures from that scene, I didn't even know it existed.
Where can I find it?

Telpeath wrote: Isnt it Rather odd How in some cool pictures Eowyn fights an Orc in the Caves. Now, I dont want to be a nag, but I wish Peter Jackson put this in the films. I have the reg. and the Special Edition and neither have it. Does anyone know why? It was too big of a reach. I suppose it could have been worked into the EE, but maybe there wasn't enough supporting footage to get it to that point. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
