Jack's head surfaced the water for another second before it vanished again in a sonic boom that echoed through the waters.
He felt the water plurge up his nose, and something heavy wrapping around his ankle pulling him into deeper darkness, darker than what kept his eyes blind.
Another weight wrapped itself around his wrists. It was hot, slimey, and it started squeezing his wrist stopping the blood in that arm.

Portia's eyes widened, when she couldn't see Jack or what was after him. She quickly looked to Will. "WILLIAM, THROW ME THE DIRT!!" She screamed and extended her arms, to catch it. She was bloody terrified.

Will stopped rowing and dropped the oar inside the boat. He then fumbled trying to grab the jar of dirt. He was shaking so badly at that moment that seconds felt like minutes.
He then threw the jar to Portia. He didn't ask any questions....because the look on her face said it all.

Portia caught the jar of dirt in her arms, with an OOFH! She was now sinking fast, since the dirt was so heavy. But, she needed that. She went further and further into the darkness until she saw and heard what had Jack. She glared and swam toward Jack as fast as she could.
She grabbed hold of his hand and handed him the jar of dirt, while still holding onto it, as well. She then swam upward. The Kraken couldn't get near them now.

Gibbs swam toward Portia and Jack. He started pulling Jack by an arm as Portia sunk down closer with the dirt. The Kracken sent out a flurry of bubbles. Gibbs relized the Kracken had let go of Jack and he tightened his hold on Jack and reached for Portia's arm too.

Will watched as bubbles and foam were appearing on the surface of the water. He was afraid that Jack, Portia, and Gibbs were drowing fast...by some large beast.
Will leaned over the side of the boat and waited anxiously.

Gibbs broke up to the top of the water, gasping for air. His grip on the other two did not let up.

Will couldn't sit in the boat any longer. Portia and Gibbs needed more help in order to save Jack.
He took of his leather jacket and dove into the cool ocean water. As he swam under the water, he could see Portia grabbing a hold of Jack's hand.

Jack's upper body finally surfaced from the water. His face looked stunned and he started coughing violently, but managed to grip hold of the only person he could feel, which was Portia, "I don't want to go back in there again! No! Bloody please! No!"
The waves underneath them grew larger, and the foam bubbled forth around the longboat now as well.

Portia seemed very frightened. "JUST HOLD ON TA THA DIRT, JACK!" She screamed and started quickly swimming toward the boat. "COME ON, MATES! BACK TA THA ROWBOAT!" She quickly crawled into the boat and pulled Jack inside.
"It won't touch ya, I promise Jack..." She told him. She kissed him softly on the lips and looked over his face.
"Stay 'ere." She whispered to him and then dove back into the water.

Jack kicked his back upright in the boat. His hands wrapped around the slippery, wet jar. "My dirt..my dirt..my dirt..my dirt..my dirt.." he kept saying to himself.
Then something happened there, that is still now even hard to explain. The water stopped. The waves ceased, the foam disappeared, and everything went peaceful.
Yet once everyone felt a bit of peace settle into their hearts, something else happened.
A massive spray of the oceans water went sailing into the air. The ocean seemed to have broke open into two, and, out of that crack of parted water emerged the Flying Dutchman in a loud groan of wood and water.

Portia gasped, when she saw the Flying Dutchman appear before her very eyes. Her eyes widened and she motioned for all of the men to swim to shore. "GO ON!" She yelled and then swam to Jack.
"Jack! Get out of the boat, right now!" She took his hand and waited for him. "PLEASE!" She pleaded with him.

As Will was trying to climb back into the boat, the Flying Dutchman appeared. His eyes blinked hard as the spray of water came tumbling down like a hard rain. His eyes grew extremely wide with fear and he yelled at the top of his lungs for Jack. "JACK! COME ON! It's JONES!" Will pulled Jack overboard and grabbed a hold of his hand tightly and began to swim as fast as he could for land.
He looked back to Portia and yelled, "Portia come on! Help me!"
"Kick Jack! Kick your legs! Swim!" Will hollared in Jack's face.

Gibbs was waiting to get on the boat when the Flying Dutchman surfaced.
"SWIM!" He cried to the others and started to swim to shore, praying that the Dutchman wouldn't catch them.
